X3/X4 BMW X3 (G01) - Spy Pics & Info

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. Now in its fourth generation, BMW markets the car as a Sports Activity Vehicle, the company's proprietary descriptor for its X-line luxury vehicles. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3, trading its practicality with a sloping rear roof which offers a sportier styling. BMW has indicated 2025 will be the X4's final model year.
Looks like the new M Areopacket for the X3M and X4M G01 and G02. Uses the large central intake similar to the X5M & X6M now squared off with a sharper triangle-type shape and brake intakes inspired by the M2's "fangs"
But looks as if they coming out of the metal instead of added on.
The body is broader thanks to a wider track and will run up to 19" wheels.
As soon as you see a prototype with the style 666 wheels found on the GTS/Competition Packet of the M4, its the X3M in development mode.

...these X3 M and X4 M cannot have more that futures M3 G20 and the M4.

I don't see why not. These SUV cars will be a hell of a lot more heavy when compared to the next gen M3, so they could use some extra power. Like how the X5 M comes standard with more power than a standard M5.

Maybe it's a delusion because the headlights are heavy disguised but they are looking very slim. Similar to this known render:

I hope the connected part of the headlight to grile will be more blended in its design like the new 5er not just enlogated the edge of the headlights and connect it to the grile.

Sources close to BMWBLOG confirmed the production date for the new BMW X3. The G01 X3 will begin its production cycle in August 2017 and will arrive at dealers late that year and early 2018. When it arrives in 2017, the G01 BMW X3 will bring a new design language that will eventually be implemented across the BMW family.

The third-generation BMW X3 is built on the new, rear-wheel drive flexible modular system offering more interior space and a redesigned seating system to ensure higher variability and greater comfort. Thanks to new lightweight construction processes and the use of the new platform, the G01 X3 is about 100 kg lighter than the current X3.

Along with a new exterior design and a more premium cabin, high-tech and safety features, and advanced telematics, are poised to make the G01 X3 another big seller for the Bavarians.

Just like the recently unveiled X4 M40i, the next midsize SUV will get an M Performance model – X3 M40i – with a Sport Exhaust System finished in Black Chrome, large steering wheel with mounted paddle shifters and some other specific M Sport elements. Along with the more aggressive styling and the sportier interior, the X3 M40i is likely to feature a more powerful engine – a 3.0 liter turbocharged, 355 hp inline-six engine.

Four and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines will also power the G01 X3.

The biggest news though comes from M Divison. For the first time, the X3 will get a fully-developed and engineered M variant. The F97 X3 M would be powered by a 3.0 liter inline-six turbocharged engine delivering close to 500 horsepower. Design wise, the X3 M will sport typical M design with an aggressive front fascia including a sculpted bumper and large air curtains, along with flared wheel arches and a lower stance.

I think yo should be wait a bit of time more. You're not seeing the headlights definitives, these are are falses. So, BMW is deceiving you. I think this next summer we should to see more advanced prototypes with headlights and taillights.

It looks like they are having a lot of fun drifting in the snow! I wish I could bother waiting for this car or the next Q5 but can't. I'll likely close a good deal on a facelifted X3 in the coming two weeks.

At an other BMW site there are spyshots of a allegedly X3. But I think that's a X1. For a comparison there is a official X1 pic below the spyshot:
