F1 2007 Grand Prix du Canada

Formula 1 news, races, teams, drivers, technology, strategy, and discussion.
I seriously want to choke. Ferrari's season is over. I wonder what Alonso will say about Hamilton's start. He did swerve, as Villeneuve said. However, Hamilton had the pace to win.

Great race, Hamilton with a brilliant win, the star is raising.:usa7uh: Excellent 2-nd place for BMW, bravo Heidfeld. Lucky Vurz and Kovalainen. :t-cheers:

Not a huge Ferrari now that Schu is gone, but I just hate Mclaren.

Let's see what the retired F1 stars will say about Hamilton starting tomorrow. He'll likely win Indy. Alonso doesn't like that track. Ferrari are out of sorts. Massa is 15 pts. back. I'm not sure why that light was red there, but Massa and Fisi should not have jumped it.

Kimi hasn't managed to fill Shumi's red Puma racers like expected. Mclaren are very stable but it ain't over. Massa is a good driver and so is Kimi, they just need to focus and concentrate more.

First, I didn't expect Kimi to fill Schu's Pumas. I'm quite amused that anyone did. I disagree with you because I think it's over. There is no way Massa can claw back a 15 pt. deficit against Hamilton, who hasn't made any mistakes. Mclaren has had perfect reliability all year. Ferrari couldn't keep up with the BMW and Williams Toyota of Wurz. Schumacher might be able to pull even from 15 down. Massa and Kimi cannot.

You forget that we are in 2007 and overtaking is much harder than it was in 2006 and even schu won't be able to overtake as he did last year.

Schu overtook and made up spots in the pits. He didn't pass too many people on track last year. Unless the Ferrari-engined Spykers start crashing into Mclarens starting real soon, Ferrari can start working full time on the '08 car.

I always thought Ferrari made a massive mistake with forcing Schumi to retire early for the overrated Kimi.
A second season with Massa would have strengthened the team. Schumi loves Massa for his hardwork and was always willing to help him out.
With Kimi, all the hardwork is left for Massa whom I must say I am great fan of but is not the same as Schumi.

What happened to Massa made me stopped watching for a bit, but I took great pleasure in watching Sato overtake Alonso.

It is inexplicable, really. I think Ferrari went starry-eyed over Kimi, even though they had the biggest star ever in F1 in Schumacher (or is he the second biggest now that Hamilton has won?). If Renault lost 0.5 second after Alonso left, how much has Ferrari lost from Schu and Brawn?

I might not even watch the rest of the season. I don't want to see the Mclaren drivers battle each other because I can't bear to see either of them winning the world title.

You'll never know what you have till you lose it.
Even though I like Hamilton, I still want the Ferrari driver(by that I mean Massa) to win the championship. Raikkonen should forget it.
I am sure Ron will be having the laugh of his life(losing Raikkonen to Ferrari and getting Hamilton)

Who do you think will replace Kubi ? Vettel would my bet & you guys ?

I took great pleasure in watching Sato overtake Alonso.

Me too:D

What an amzing race! 10 DNFs, lots of crashes and events all through the race. And there was racing and fighting from start to finish, minus the safety cars. But racing from start to finish is what I like to see, preferebly without safety cars.

Hope Kubica can get back as soon as possbile. Shame we didn't get to see any on board footage of him right before the crash so we could've seen what the cause of the crash was.

And why do you think Schumi was pushed out?

Chonkoa, how is losing someone like Raikkonen even considered a loss? If I was a team owner, I'd say good riddance to a car breaking under-performer like him. He was horrible again today. The Canadian coverage said he earns $25 million U.S. to Ralf's 30 mil and Massa's 5 mil. Still, whether he earns 25 or 50 million, Kimi is overrated. He barely staved off one of the Super Best Friends driven by Sato!

IE, are you up for a wager benefiting charity? I wager that BMW will not win a race until the midpoint of the '08 season. That's right. No wins this year and none until nine races into '08. If I lose, I'll donate money to a charity of your choice. There is no way BMW will compete with Mclaren this year.

Yeah, I think Vettel will get the seat. Depending on the severity of Kubica's break, he could be back by the very end of the season.
