F1 2007 Grand Prix du Canada

latest news says that thats a suspension failure on trulli's car. if the team doesn't find the solution, it seems that the team will pull out of the Canadian GP.

too early to say things anyways.

this may be indirectly linked to the grand prix, but I have got to say that all of a sudden Montreal has really come to life with the arrival of the grand prix. It's 11 pm and there are traffic jams in downtown montreal. Usually the streets quiet down quite early.

Siko, did you check out the Ferrari cars on Peel?

Nope... didn't get a chance today. But I will go tomorrow (Crescent & Peel).

Did you go? If so, how was it & anything particular to keep an eye out for?

I just came from downtown of Montreal. Lots of beautiful cars Ferraris, Lambos, Porsches, BMW etc. Crowds of people. Lots of fan.:t-cheers:

Nick was phenomenal, lewis did a great job also.

Lewis on pole. Damn, another Mclaren whitewash! Ferrari look off and this track wasn't supposed to be as bad for them as Monaco. I think it's slowly going irreversibly wrong for Ferrari and it'll be Alonso vs. Hamy for the title. I want neither to win. Ferrari didn't even have a good lead when their cars were running well earlier in the season. As I have said before, without Schu I don't know if Massa and their other driver are capable of a big comeback.

Hurrayyy BMW.

BMW were third in Monaco but lost due to strategy. Now let's see.

McMerc boys better be prepared, they're next. :D :D :D

Good Grief!! BMW back on top, Kimi at 4th place, Alonso 2nd and Lewis at Pole, not to mention Massa at 5th place. This is going to be a very interesting race. :eusa_danc

I was locked out of the house so I missed quali:(

Congrats Lewis, was about time he got pole. But the Ferraris surprise me, hope they'll recover in the race. Or maybe they went for a heavy strategy...

If something unfortunate doesn't happen to Kimi's car he will most likely over take Heidfeld during the first two laps. Hopefully he does is very early becasue Hamilton and Alonso will be taking off pretty fast increasing the distance between them and Heidfeld as the race goes on.
It is going to be really intereting to see how Hamilton will handle the pressure, because he is going to have some of the meanest drivers in the world behind him. Even if he doesn't take Canada GP home to the UK, one has to give him cred for his incredible talent he has displayed.

The circuit is pretty tight so I think he can defend his 1st place pretty good, but he might face some real challenges on the lnog straight depending on how fast the boys behind are. Or he could make a mistake in the hairpin before the straight which is quite common, as it's very dirty.
This will really put Hamilton to the test, he can't afford any misstakes!

Mclaren will have a 10-second gap to the nearest Ferrari after the first 10 laps. They look pretty much untouchable at the moment. The pace is there and they have had 100% reliability. I don't see the point of Ferrari running heavy on fuel and I don't they are. They are just slow. They don't have the pace to run heavy because they will be eaten up even by Webber and Kubica. I think the Ferrari and Mclaren drivers are all on similar fuel.

I wouldn't write-off Ferrari normally, but another 1-2 for McMerc at Indy and it's over for the boys from Maranello. They lost their flexi floor, but Mclaren still look to have a flexi wing.

How do you know Heidfeld won't overtake the McMerc boys and win the race for BMW. :D :D :D

BMW seems to improve, now if only Renault could just find their winning ways.

awesome quali for the McMercs, again they are kicking some A$$$, finaly hamilton nailled the pole , what a fantastic driver indeed , first time on the track and he got the fastest lap out of all.

btw: all german top 3 lol

wohoo hamilton..its on now..this is it..he has to win this one:D i hope mcl wont pull any stall orders on his ass

I hope our german friends can keep those bastard ferraris behind..

so lets hope for Mcl for 1 and 2 and BMW for 3.. or maybe even 3 and 4..lol
