It looks like we might have change of leader, or very close. Disappointing 15-th spot on grid for Kubica due to engine change. I’m disappointed with results, hopefully it’ll improve tomorrow. ;)

Not the greatest race, all spy scandal definitely affected results, good 5-th spot for Heidfeld and disappointing 8-th for Kubica. He got stock behind Coulthard so IMO his pit strategy didn’t work very well. Congrats for the winner Kimi , his chances are growing.:t-cheers:

I'm happy with the race since Alonso only gained one point. The end of season is near and in the coming races Hamilton has to make sure that he finishes in front of Alonso.

great great race for the Scuderia. happy to see Kimi within striking distance of the WDC. is Japan the next race? or CHina?

Great race for Ferrari fans, and they have won the constructors title. Alonso was very aggressive with his move on Lewis, when Peter Windsor ask him in the post race conference if he has made contact with Lewis, Alonso replied no while trying hard to contain his smile.

Good to see Kimi doing a little burnout when he return his Ferrari at the end of the race.

Lewis: Alonso tried to take me off

From Lewis: Alonso tried to take me off - Planet-F1 News - from planet-f1.com

Lewis Hamilton has criticised Fernando Alonso after he was forced off the track by his team-mate at the start of the Belgian GP.

The two McLaren drivers, who are not the best of friends as it is, started the grand prix side-by-side on the second row of the grid.

And heading into the first corner they will still alongside each other when Alonso shut the door on his rookie team-mate, forcing him off the track.

It was a move that Hamilton labeled 'unfair', saying he didn't expect it from someone he looks up to and someone who is always complaining when such moves are pulled on him.

"I wouldn't say fair, but it was hard," Hamilton told Autosport with regards to Alonso's move.

"The guy on the outside doesn't always have the corner. I don't know whether I was ahead, but there was enough room for us all to get round fair and square.

"I just feel for someone that's always complaining about people doing unfair maneuvers, and everyone wanting to be fair and someone I look up to, and he has gone and swiped me and pushed me as wide as he could. I was just really lucky there was a run-off area so I could take that.

"At Eau Rouge it's impossible to take two Formula One cars through there without taking each other out, so I just lifted."

No surprise there, every single world champion want to win at all cost, same for Alonso. I bet Lewis will do the same if he was in the same situation.

Re: Lewis: Alonso tried to take me off

nonesport alonso , nonesport !!!!

Kimi said in the press conference that Fuji might not be the best place for Ferrari. It's over.

Ferrari has the WCC. Now it should put some bum in the No. 2 car to ram Hamilton off the track. Then they should use one of the backmarkers than run Ferrari engines to take out Alonso from a race. That's the only way Kimi has a prayer to win the WDC.

Honestly, I don't see too much wrong with that and this season is tainted anyway. The huge points penalty against TOUI implies, in my mind, that they gained a benefit over Ferrari. In my opinion, that same benefit was achieved by Hamilton and Alonso over the Ferrari drivers because they drove cars that were prepared by TOUI. Since the rival drivers were allowed to keep their benefit, I'd consider evening things up by punting them out of races. It won't happen, but it might not be an unfitting end to a tainted season.

Hamilton fumes over Alonso’s tactics, then reconsiders

Lewis Hamilton on Sunday toned down his criticism of Fernando Alonso’s first-corner tactics at the Belgian grand prix.
After getting pushed wide by his championship rival and McLaren teammate at La Source, the rookie Briton was quoted as saying by the German source Die Welt: “He pushed me wide. That had nothing to do with fairness.”
He was quoted as saying by RTL: “I tried to out-brake Fernando but he pushed me off the circuit.”
Hamilton finished fourth to Alonso’s third at Spa-Francorchamps, reducing his lead of the drivers’ title to just two points with three races to go in 2007.
In a post-race official statement, the 22-year-old had apparently reflected on his initial reaction to Alonso’s driving.

“Initially I thought ‘oh thanks’ but I guess these things happen when you fight for the world championship,” Woking based McLaren quoted him as saying.
Alonso denied that he had taken a new approach to his duel with Hamilton because McLaren has been kicked out of the constructors’ championship. Ferrari mathematically clinched that title on Sunday.
“No, same approach,” the reigning world champion said, also denying that the pair touched.
Alonso explained: “I was sticking to the inside line as long as possible as I knew there was plenty of run-off area. I knew that my car in the first stint would be a bit faster as I was stopping one lap earlier than Lewis, so it was very important to be in front.”
Ferrari’s Felipe Massa, meanwhile, fell to a total of 7 points behind his teammate Kimi Raikkonen at Spa, moving some to conclude that the Brazilian will definitely be appointed ‘number two’ for the final three races.
Massa denied, however, that his job from now on will be to support Raikkonen’s title quest.
“I think I will be free to win,” he said.
Alonso pointed out just how finely poised the championship battle still is.
“If we have a DNF if any of the three races, you say bye-bye to the title,” he said. (GMM)

Lewis should stop whining and act like a real black man. He should ask Mr.T och Iron Mike for some lesson on how to play it hard. Or he probably has restrained the black demon within him. I want it to come out

Here's a great shot from the weekend.

Ferrari could have still won had their cars not fallen to pieces so many times and had their drivers made less mistakes. And the longwheelbase aproach was still improper for several tracks (Monaco, Montreal, Monza as Kimi said).

Ofcourse Ross Brawn and Stepney should have been promoted as they were the ones who kept the cars in one piece.

Nothing proves that McLaren had any benefit, they were punished because they cheated and the FIA wants to make an example (obviously, Toyota can cheat without sanction, but that is another problem)

Don't you say anything about the illegal floor of the Ferrari, 450SEL6.9, which was an obvious illegal advantage? Shouldn't they be punished for that? Doesn't your Kimi and Massa benefited from that illegal advantage?

All the Ferrari fanboys should stop complainig, McLaren was obviously over-punished, everybody including the other teams think that, so stop it now. Ferrari also made illegal things, but are never punished, and you manage to complain?

I hope the illegal floor will lead to a Ferrari punishment.

you mean the possible illegal floor that was possibly proven by mclaren with stolen documents that were obtained illegally? If there is any fanboy that should stop complaining, it's the freakin' mclaren fanboys since their drivers didn't get any points taken although it has been proven that they aswell knew about the ferrari documents.
