I was talking about next year. McLaren didn't stand a chance last year against Renault/Ferrari either, not did Ferrari against Renault/McLaren in 2005.

Things change.
BMW will leap forward, and I'm sure Renault will too, particularly with Alonso. McLaren on the other hand I see then repeating their 2004/2006 form.

But this year was supposed to be a tough year for Mclaren. Alonso was second-guessed and second-guessed about his decision. Look at Mclaren this year. They haven't had a mechanical DNF all year.
