2016 Mercedes GLC coming to the U.S. in November

Will be offered as a GLC300 and GLC300 4MATIC

Mercedes has released new details about the 2016 GLC, ahead of its official debut on June 17th.

While full details are still pending, Mercedes-Benz USA confirmed the model will go on sale in "mid-November" and be offered as a GLC300 and GLC300 4MATIC. Mercedes declined to release specifications but the "300" moniker suggests crossover will have a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 241 bhp (179 kW) and 273 lb-ft (369 Nm) torque. Rear wheel drive will be standard but all-wheel drive will be optional.

Mercedes also hinted the model will have a "number of new options as well as added standard equipment" which will move the GLC to the "top of its segment."

The eventual GLC450 AMG Sport is the one to get. I'd like to see a GLC63 AMG too, but a V8 in this class is unheard of.

Livestream of the world premiere Mercedes-Benz GLC
Mid-range SUV tailor-made

With the introduction of the new GLC on June 17th in Metzingen, Mercedes-Benz presents the second generation of its mid-range SUV. The livestream of the world premiere starts at 5:00 PM (CET). Afterwards you can watch the recording of the event.

The GLC retains its predecessor's outstanding off-road characteristics and combines them with an all-new design. What is more, the GLC takes comfort and agility to a whole new level: With the innovative multi-chamber air suspension AIR BODY CONTROL, unique to the segment, DYNAMIC SELECT and the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive, the new GLC is tailor-made for all driving situations on and off the road.

State-of-the-art assistance systems and improved energy efficiency further support the new GLC's claim of setting a new benchmark in this segment. Compared to its predecessor, fuel consumption was lowered by up to 19%.

Looks great. I hope they make an AMG version. Mercedes design language is both simple and elegant as of late. I like it. they've also upped their interiors tremendously. I Sat in a C class recently, still not a fan of the iPad like screen, but loved everything else, especially the raised center console that separate the driver from passenger side.
This one looks promising.
