GLK and ML are going to colide if it looks anything like that.

Wow if it looks like that, it certainly will cause a little grief for the Range Rover Evoque.

I was waiting for someone to bring that up. They have a similar treatment, but the Mercedes render is infinitely better looking.

Unlikely this is a 2015. Have only seen mules and no actual test production models. The C is a 2015 and we've essentially seen the finished car testing. The thread title should read 2016 GLK unless someone has other information.

It's that whole US year model thing again. If a car is released and sold in 2015, to me its a 2015 model. Whats this 2016 nonsense? :D

Does It Not Look Smaller...Seems Its Going To Be More Rounded and Not Edgy Like the Current One.

It already looks better than the current one. Which is not quite difficult, to be honest.

Hmmm, are we sure that is the GLK? That looks more wagonlike than the current GLK. The edgy styling is gone here and it looks just like a larger GLA.

M

sloping roofline, I like I like:). Looks like all future SUV's from Merc are going to get sloping roofline.

New SUV generation from 2015

Mercedes renews the GLK. From 2015, the SUV debuts on the German market. The new heavily camouflaged model was now caught by our spies for the first time.

The Mercedes GLK is on the market since 2008 and last year received a minor facelift. In 2015, the new generation of the SUV starts. Like the current model it will be based on the C-Class again, but not on the current model W204, but on the new W205 C-Class, which debuts in 2014. And it will share systems and engines.

Mercedes GLK grows slightly
In contrast to the trend that new models are necessarily larger than their predecessor, the new GLK largely keeps its dimensions. These amount to 4,536 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width and 1,669 mm in height. However, it should be somewhat sleeker and more dynamic thanks to a sloping roofline.

Engines from the C-Class
As for the motors, optimised fuel-efficient diesel and petrol units will be offered from the start. Together with various materials and aerodynamics improvements the consumption will fall significantly compared to the current engine range. Furthermore, the nine-speed automatic 9G-Tronic is expected. To what extent a hybrid powertrain is planned is still unclear.

Looks slightly shorter in the rear. Seems like it will get some of the GLA styling elements.

Very unfortunate to hear that it won't grow. That is probably the biggest knock, other than the polarizing styling. The x3 and Q5 both dwarf the GLK. Doesn't give me hope that Mercedes is really hearing from the front lines and adjusting accordingly.

Might be in reference to the sloping roofline and pulled-in greenhouse to accentuate the rear flanks? Since it's based on the new W205 C-Class, I wouldn't be surprised if the wheelbase and overall length grow by a few inches. :)

The latest prototype clearly has a longer wheelbase than the current GLK, and its track is wider, too. We can also see that the hood has been stretched and the front axle pushed forward to accommodate the longer wheelbase. This should translate to more interior space and improved dynamics. It also means the new GLK will better match rivals such as the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 in terms of space and comfort.

Proportions look decent with the shallow DLO and the long hood. I just hope they will go for a different design on the bodyside. I'm already bored of that dropping line.
