The rear light and boot trim shape reminds me of the 7-series but overall this car is really bland, Audi new styling direction is not a pretty one. Probably the worst looking A8 ever.

Audi has to release a lot of teasers to try and get people excited about this car, but it probably will be a tech tour de force.

Several German automotive press entities have indicated that the second-gen A7/S7 will be presented 1 month prior to the presentation of the D5 A8/S8. Both in autumn of this year, with the new A6 following early in the 1st quarter of 2018.

I find myself very much liking the D5 A8s' sleek greenhouse, especially in its' SWB configuration (see Czech video). Obviously subjective, the upcoming A7/S7 appears a tad "odd". Not unlike the images of the first gen prototypes some 7 years ago. However, the current A7/S7/RS7 is visually drop-dead stunning "in the metal". Quite the icon, in fact. Audi insiders are cited as fawning over its' successor, exclaiming that it will be the most visually enticing Audi ever. That's a very tall claim.

We shall see...
