Or the previous CL Class.
At least there is a difference between this and the new C and S.

Hard to imagine a Maybach E-Class. Merc1 was wishing for this, looks like it coming true.

Guys, this is not an E Maybach, but the V213 for the Chinese market. Just like the V205.

I don't expect Daimler to launch more Maybach models so soon. They surely will wait and see how the S Maybach performs. Next Maybach could be the GLS or S Coupé but not the E.

I've often wondered if they would bring back the S600 Coupe as a Maybach, but since rear seat room is the theme, what would be the point of a Maybach S Coupe? It would need to have truly different styling or something in the interior that can't be had on regular S Coupes. The GLS Maybach is a sure thing, it will sell like very expensive hotcakes. Watch Bentley and Rolls do it.

I would say there is more going on than just an extended E-Klasse. It makes you wonder if the plan is for the extended China only E-Klasse to be called a Maybach? Therefore exclusive to China but exempt for the rest of the world where it possibly would not be as successful?

Let's hope so. But if so, then the Chinese are really getting a good deal of because Mercedes is offering them not just a merely longer e class but an e class with maybach like differentiation from the lwb s

The giveaway is the reshape c pillar. The Chinese love for long cars has been understated. I think it is a good strategy if this is what Mercedes is aiming for.

Yep, just look at the C pillar. The Chinese already get the long wheel base E and C if I'm not mistaken.

Just like how we don't get the S400/550 Maybach in America, this will be for certain markets only.

If all goes according to rumor, by the time the Detroit show rolls around in January MB will have the New E-Class, S Cabriolet, C Coupes, GLS, SLC, SL Facelift, and the GLC Coupe all there for viewing.. I can't stand it.
