Definately going to be a lack of wood for the S class as we usually expect... The Door pully and seat adjuster look interesting is it gloss finish or plastic bahind the switches and pully?

Hmm... So there is no wood insertion on the doors for sure. Just a piano black are around the door handle and seat controls. Now we only need to see the dash.

Strange as you seem to be on the site all the time and we all know the c class screen a d a cl...
I genuinely thought this was a c class because similar pics were shared on the c class thread. There’s no reason to get emotional over this.

I ignore people who I think are trolls maybe you should save yourself the trouble and do the same.

Thought it was a C class , until I realised this is a S class thread.
I wish it was. Can't seen any of those touch sensitive door buttons from concepts either.......what on earth are they playing at! I've always been Mercedes, never had another brand....but this, so far....it's like like a lego version of the EQS concept. Guess Mr Sensual Purity can tell his bosses it's Corona and not the design teams fault.

Nice, thank you for this shot (y) !

The dark grey tape wrapped casing around the driver screen, continuing behind the center screen, is obviously fake and here just to confuse us however there is a small detail I never noticed before : the slant of the definitive dashboard, visible at the upper left corner of the center screen, is interesting and very EQS-esque as hinted by Hartmut Sinkwitz. Will make for a very relaxed dashboard design.

I am still hoping the door panel is not the definitive design as I absolutely love wood in a S Class. Some of you guys can have the carbon fibre but please give me WOOD  !

The door panel area around the handle reminds me of a lincoln. How does my less than $100 office monitor have thinner bezels than these screens? The luxury part is going to be through the lighting it seems like. It looks like there should be some horizontal stip of wood on the dash... design of the seat controls is also ugly...

I am sure that the car will turn out good. But not the best. Vertical screens are a bad decision in my opinion. Huge frames - awful. But in any case, it is better than Audi. And BMW will have a chance with the new 7.

The tail lights will break it or make it for me.

No more track pad in the center since this closer to the driver/passenger.

The problem with creating a "futuristic" interior is that IF you half ass it, it's gonna look awful and outdated in few years. Kinda like going from an amazing concept car to a meh looking production car which according to the designer looks 95% like the concept while everyone else think it's more like 10%. But I'm still holding my judgement.

As above, I am withholding judgment until we get a full view of a production-ready interior. Considering this is THE definitive Mercedes-Benz, I have to think they aren't going to muck this up.

But damn, my cautious optimism has diminished even further with that interior shot. I can tell myself that it's still a prototype so they are still using materials that aren't more refined, but there are elements that production-ready that don't look so promising, i.e. the execution of the interior lighting (in this case it's green and seen on the door and between the steering column and the tablet screen) and the graphics on both screen.

I am hoping once the interior is fully realized and ready for public viewing, I will be pleasantly surprised.
