I don't think so? Didn't BMW came first in 7 G11?

That's addressed in the article. He acknowledges that BMW was first to it in a production car, but that Daimler brought it to the "automotive context" sooner. I assume that means it popped up in a concept at some point. More importantly, it was interesting to get the insight that gesture control wasn't seen as something worth prioritizing. I agree.

from the outside, the new S class can be interesting. I looking at the spy photos of the interior of the S class, I am not convinced what this large tablet in the middle.

I agree with Rolf, regarding the rear graphics (in this case he was referring a bit to the restyling of the class e) saying that for him it is a bit old-fashioned and that he would have preferred the stardust stripes. But presumably the new graphics will also be taken up by other models, for example the new class c.

I think those pics have been posted a month ago as I remember seeing the M3 in the previous pics and @klier and I were joking about the S class and M3 racing each other.

think i've replied to the correct image, the top of the mega image post above - extra camera on windscreen, not the suction cup ones, but the black tinted bit around mirror, for the magic body control? not seen this in most spyshots, there is the driving assistance/lane keeping ones, the rain sensor in middle, then looks like bottom middle, an extra camera of some sort built in?
Edit:zoomed in, may be, may be not, unsure myself now...

Unless the trim insertion is located lower on the door panel like on the G-Class, it seems this W223 does indeed have less trim insertions than the previous generations.

I wonder if this will affect the dash as well...

It also seems like the door panel is not having a running wood trim like in 222 & 221, if the strip on top is ambient lighting as mentioned by someone earlier then the wood will be small portion like we saw in the new GLS & GLEs.
