The M4 has been discussed about adopting the Porsche 911 model. Further variants to increase performance and reduce weight further.
BMW now have the resources to do so especially progress in weight reduction.
The BMW M4 is about creating a new iconic BMW M. Model.

Ja, ja... Decidedly fapworthy. Again. Pity all the more that the iconic M3 badge won't grace this stunning coupe. Because, right now - in my mind - I'm looking at the new M3 and it's suitable. Rather suitable indeed. Anyhow, time moves on and badges change. Somehow, I think this will still remain my favourite of all cars. If I never own anything better than an M3/4 then I will be truly most fortunate.
