Hopefully those are not the final production wing mirrors... mirror-horror!

Don't worry the actual mirror covers on the prototype are false , hiding the true mirror shape , its more sportier looking than the standard 4er Coupe.

The M4 Cabrio has now begun public testing. The current one is still outstanding in every respect even the folding hard top is street theatre.
Expect to see more over the next few weeks when the paparazzi get into swing.

Decided to pop to the Nurburgring this evening for a few hours in the R8 and guess what popped up in my mirror........

In the above photo I'm pulling over to let it past. We then drove behind it for about five minutes.

But then, the driver clearly annoyed that we were photographing him, quickly did a u-turn.....

The car looks very wide at the rear and the photos do not do it justice. The noise when it accelerated away though.....just like the videos. I was a bit "meh"....

I'd rather have a 911 or an R8. With the way things are going, I'm expecting the M4 Coupe to be in the 80's optioned up.

Of course not. I also broke the speed limit many times on the drive there. The difference is I'm perfectly capable of deciding for myself what is safe and what isn't.

Very busy for a weekday. Although I've driven it a lot in the past in my previous M3s and Z4 Ms, I haven't taken the R8 on yet.

I hope you can get the black grill , and also i hope the rims will be even meaner than the ones on the M performance 4er.
If not i hope those ones are a no cost option on the M4

Of course. Today I saw a red F30 with black grill and carbon rear spoiler, all a part of the performance options. I also had a silly badge saying "performance"

The latest info on the M3/M4 is that the S55 engine will be a 3.0 litre turbocharged engine with 421hp. This is from a VIN check on a mule which was also wearing a new M colour, 'Yas Marina Blue'.

That will depend on whether it's PS or HP, wouldn't be the first time a magazine has got these two measurement wrong.
