I think BMW design is by far the most interesting of the big three Germans right now.
It's taken Mercedes a long time to sort out its styling .....but I finally feel that some consistency is returning to their approach. The AMG GT is easily one of the most beautiful cars built in the past 50 years imo.
I have been fascinated by BMW over the past 15 years since the introduction of the E65 ......one of the most iconic cars of the 21st century. Since then we have seen BMW become the design leader of the automotive industry. BMW has easily been the most adventurous and most influential .....producing some of the most extraordinary and beautiful concept cars. Both Audi and Mercedes have taken inspiration from BMW over the past decade.
We have seen BMW develop its styling from the peculiarly heterogenous styling of the e65 to flame surfacing; biomimetics; the "melted ice" organic styling; and the parametric design we are seeing today.
