NKL coupe prototype testing. Wheelhub e-motors. Innovative state of the art battery tech. And it actually appears to be a prototype for a future serial production car rather than a "vision concept vehicle".

Absolutely. These upcoming NKL offerings may just administer the booster shot that the BEV agenda in general so desperately needs. BMW appears to be positioned to move to the forefront here.

Too early to say but it certainly would require a lot more than funky new looks.

Well, apparently people like this silly things. If I want a sport coupe I buy one, if I like SUVs I buy one. Combining the two seems weird.

Proportions aside, the design looks great.

I don't know if I like the way that looks.
If the tail was a bit lower, it would be a dead ringer for the original 8er. But as it stands it reminds me of the CLC class.

My immediet thought too. The shape is too reminicent of a hatchback that's a wannabe a coupe. It's obvious that it's jacked up in order to accomodate as many better cells as possible.

Its original but really is like a CLC or and old Civic, that rear is just weird. I has a lot of polestar in it which is good, but I wonder if its good for this type of car

Nope. Something completely different

BMW was known for its straight belt line and balanced appearance. This protoype looks a bit unbalanced and chubby at the back, due to its raised stance. I was something more elegant lines, like the ones from ‘70 - ‘90 decades. This looks more FWD than to exhibit proper, classic RWD proportions.

Nonetheless, looking forward to see how this unfolds.
