Sport Auto - Nordschleife laptimes

I remember someone stating that the tests of the Performante are coming out by the end of this fall.

Looks like these modern day "muscle cars" are primarily about the corners. That is what makes them so fast (with the combination of super sticky tires). The Z06 did the 200 km/h in only 12.1 seconds and the Viper does 277 km/h peak on the uphill Dottinger Hohe still they both have earth shattering lap times.

Yeah, nice tyres.

It's a lot more than just tyres  getting into details can create chaos

You are right. 7.14 with 0-200 in 12.1 is astonishing. It means this car is very, very near to a race car.

WOW!
Massive critic by Gebhart on the brakes of the TT RS! (front were ceramics)

First it was the pedal-feel that went completely "gummi" (he had to abort the flying lap because of that). Then came the extreme fading, resulting numerous dangerous situations on the Ring.
Back in the pit it was clear and visible: both front and rear brakepads were completely destroyed...

Audis statement after the first test: that TT RS testcar was a 'pre-production' car, it was made before the final factory testdrives and refinements of comfort and BRAKES (haha). Ceramic brake as an option will only be available from October. Internal investigation after the test cleared that the brakepads on the car had very bad heat-management.

At the second attempt (and with refined, final brakpads) the car behaved better, but after 3-4 laps the pedal-feel started to go soft again. But at least it did a pretty good, 7:48,4 min lap after all.
