Think so too., save for the 4Matic in every engine configuration. Though I guess the I6 cylinders get mandatory 4Matic. I just don't like these forced non-choices.I believe this will be duplicated to the w214 e class
They could have carried on the petrol inline 6 in the C43 and C63 instead of using crap 4 cylinder engines and now use the inline 6 in a diesel instead, totally absurd MercedesI can't believe Mercedes (supposed to be luxury) is not going to offer a petrol I6 in this vehicle, but offer a diesel one. You can't make that make sense.

I would tend to disagree with you on this as Merc1 pointed out an inline6 for power delivery and smoothness as well as aural pleasure is in another league to a 4cylinder engine no matter that it is built by AMG. If you listen to some videos of the E53 AMG revving and then compare to a A45 the E53 with inline 6 sounds so much better.
