X1 [Official] The new 2022 BMW X1 and iX1

The BMW X1 is a line of cars produced by BMW since 2009. A subcompact luxury crossover class, the first-generation X1 was based on the E90 3 Series and offered rear-wheel drive layout as standard. The second-generation X1 marked the switch to a front-wheel-drive-based layout using the UKL2 platform shared with the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and the Mini Countryman.
In real life it looks much worse than in promo pictures. It’s still a Minivan as the previous gen. It gives same cringe as GLA and Q2, sorry.

That’s the spec we will mostly see here in Spain…

The only well resolved part it’s its rear design IMO, it just look good.

^ Those rims are just f'ing horrible and ruin the whole thing. This car needs 20" and perhaps some spacers or something. It's like they took an X1 and put the body on the platform of a Mini.....oh wait......

Those are the 17's. Not sure about most markets, but from what I've seen you've really got to want the 17's to get the 17's, most of the trim levels seem to start at 18".

I suspect it's a case of 'look good' or 'ride good', but perhaps not both.

They come standard with 19’s here in Turkey. All of the X1’s I’ve seen this far looked amazing tbh.

Here, too, only 18" and up, it happens that in Spain it seems that he always photographs the 17" one, he had already done it with the last generation, every 7 years.....

The thing about the small wheels, personally, I usually see that it is worse in photos than in IRL

The ride quality on 17s is good though.

These aren’t my pictures, just from @cochespias1 community, but this is how they look like on the road.

All the contrary, it looks much worse IRL as all their FWD blobs.
The spec is what you usually will see here as it was with the previous gen.

People want things cheaper, but I don’t think BMW will profit on putting 17” wheels and halogen lights (it’s 2022) if they want to pretend premium, even in this premium doubtly segment🙄

In the UK, M sport spec accounts for 80% of sales. Therefore poverty bimmers are increasingly a rare sight, especially as big alloys = show room bling that makes a car easier to sell.

Why are you posting all these pictures here in this thread?!? You should start a picture thread! This one should be for discussion.

Damn it! I knew that was coming and I could have known it would be you LOL

On topic, the way the trunk (with the part featuring the roundel) wraps around the body with the 3D lights sticking out is just so nice! Really, a desireable car. Funky interior too very fresh.

The new X1 looks to be the best looking BMW SUV at the moment. Why can't they design the larger models like this instead of fitting them with gigantic grills and split lights?

The X1 is at the top of its game.

A fierce lap around the track in an X1 1.8d! POV
The tester loved the behavior on the track, also surprised with the very low consumption vs the performance
