Something about the 918 is still mesmerizing to me. The fact that it was created 8 years ago and it would still be able to compete or beat mostly anything, even today, is simply incredible. And the interior still feels modern (maybe even a greater accomplishment!!). And the car is still stunning.

It's typical understated Porsche in its execution relative to its competitors. But that's not to say I don't appreciate the P1, LaFer, or the Huayra, which I do, but these days I tend to gravitate to the 918 the most.

While not the 918, the Carrera GT has that kind of presence as well. In a dealer full of exotics (Lambos, Bentleys, R-Rs, and Veyron), it was a C-GT that monopolized my attention the most.

CGT is the one to have for the ages, with it's RWD manual NA V10. It's the purest classic of them all.

918 is the best 'daily'

959 is just sick (in a good way for me)
 
If I was asked to pick 2 out of 3 from those black Porsches, it would be the 918 and 959. Simply on the basis that they are both more special relative to their era and considerably less likely to kill me.

It's a seminal moment in Porsche's history. I've actually seen 2. One on the motorways into London and another being driven like it should above the moors near to where we live! To be honest all three of the Holy Trinity are I couldn't choose between my favorite.

I've actually pieced together some research elsewhere so I'll try to share it if I can today, if I can!

On a serious note, I would not be comfortable even remotely testing the limits of the CGT. I would feel more relaxed behind the wheel of the 918.
