Huayra [Official] Pagani Huayra

The Pagani Huayra, a successor to the Pagani Zonda, was initially revealed online in a press release on 25 January 2011. It was officially revealed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The car is named after the Quechua god of wind, Huayra-tata. The engine is a 6.0-litre twin-turbo M158 V12 engine from Mercedes-AMG producing 544 kW (740 PS; 730 hp) and 1,000 N⋅m (740 lb⋅ft) of torque. The Huayra's body is made from carbotanium; a lightweight composition of carbon fibre and titanium. The Huayra has been redesigned from the ground up, but shares many visual qualities with its predecessor. The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 235 mph (378 km/h). Only 100 units of the Huayra were produced, each costing £1,000,000 (1.05 million US$) without options.
^It is funny that Salomondrin guy was disappointed that his car did not match the TG performance. Someone should point out to him that was on cheater tires.

Has there been a Top Gear Pagani test since that fiasco?
Doubt it. But they did make a sticker out of it -

May be Salomondrin has a case against them for false advertising if he really wants to stick it to them.

Dinosaur hypercar? Or just properly old school?

Tinkering on a very thin line in between. Technically speaking, all of the new entry hardcore supercars will run circles around the Huayra, BC included. It's more of a emotional, "lifestyle" hypercar.

The AMG 6.0L V12 is said to be rated for up 1,000bhp, but the real issue is that 2000's era single-clutch gearbox holding it back.

I gotta say, there's a few Huayras in my area - even in BC spec, they're not partculariy pretty in my eyes. It's certainly impressive looking, and the inside is quite an experience.

Aptly named, L'Ultimo ("the last" in Italian), the supercar is dressed to impress in an F1 livery derived from Lewis Hamilton's car.
It’s the end of the line for the Pagani Huayra in coupe form as the 100th car has arrived at its rightful dealership in Miami. While Lewis Hamilton may not be the biggest fan of the Zonda’s handling, the four-time Formula 1 champion was the source of inspiration for how the L’Ultimo has been designed. Better said, his championship-winning Mercedes-AMG F1 car greatly influenced the Huayra’s livery.

The official renders (attached below) published back in April didn’t tell the whole story as the last hurrah for the Huayra with a fixed roof is arguably more stunning in the metal. Eight months were necessary to complete the car and while that may seem like a long time, a Pagani is far from being an ordinary car, let alone a one-off such as the L’Ultimo.
Prestige Import Miami dealer owner, Brett David, had the pleasure of taking delivery of the final Huayra coupe after closely collaborating with the Pagani factory in San Cesario. According to duPontRegistry, there was a live connection between the Miami-based dealer and the factory in Italy, which allowed Brett to check out the car in 3D form during development.

Now that production of the Huayra coupe has ended, Pagani is focusing on the roadster set to gain a hardcore BC version. Like the coupe, the droptop model is also limited to just 100 examples and made the headlines a couple of months ago for being the subject of what is likely the most expensive lease: $700,000 down payment + $25,339 per month for 60 months.

Pagani has already shared some preliminary details about the Huayra’s replacement, which will thankfully stick to the Mercedes-AMG-sourced V12 engine paired to a standard manual transmission. The powerhouse from Affalterbach won’t be hybridized, but the company is actually planning a fully electric hypercar scheduled to arrive by the middle of the next decade.

This is a video to watch on your TV. What a gorgeous object to obsess over.

I've been lucky enough to sit in a Zonda. If you are a car or mechanics enhusiast sitting in a Pagani is like visiting a brothel. You can to touch EVERYTHING!

While I respect the LaFerrari, 918 and P1, I think the Huyra is in a special class.

It's automotive haute couture!

All that naked plumbing inside the Huayras is breath taking, especially that gear linkage. You have to admire the showmanship and fanfare that accompany Horacio’s products.

The roadster will be sex on wheel. Blue and Black would be Mr.Pagani's personal choice. Personally I think the Huyra looks best in deep red.
