Got my car a few weeks ago. My choice was Diamond Silver, because it was recommended as much nicer than the Iridium Silver. It certainly is, because it really looks nice and changes colours depending on the light. At the delivery-center (see Pictures) it even looks like it has a touch of blue in it.

Kratos and I. :D

I saw a 350 BT in anthracite with AMG package (19") and I like mine better only because of the rims...with no sport package...

In my opinion, for this car it is important that the wheels have a lot of metal and not too big openings or free space.
I have the 18" wheels as shown on Meilensammler's car, but I'm very satisfied with the way they look. The wheels do not look small at all. I have seen pictures with other 18" inch wheels with only 5 spokes and in my opinion they look quite strange and small. Therefore, in my opinion, for this reason the AMG 19" wheels do not fit as well as the AMG 20" wheels...

Very pretty Meilensammler... That color is my second favorite on this car...

Good observation. Now that I think about it, you're right. That's the reason I don't like a lot of the rim styles because too much spacing in them doesn't look right on this car......like you said.

I tend to disagree, I have had three straight S-Classes and all have had the MB split 5 spoke amg wheels...
S-Classes are inherently regal and majestic but tend toward the unsporty side. The 5 spoke, along with the amg package help to counter that "unsportiness" IMO... Of course, I have to say this since I ordered the 19in split 5 spoke wheel...:-)

I think he meant just this generation, not previous. My current S class has the 5 spokes on it, and it looks great.

The new split 5 spokes do have a kind of weird pattern... The tips of the points are closed off, giving it an almost truncated look to them, like they have been cut off at the tips, very blunt look, instead of the thinner long 5 pointed star... Personally, I prefer rims that have long thin spokes that do not widen outward...

You hit the nail on the head (southern expression). The solid spokes look better than the split spokes.....which leads back to what we said about the spacing.

^ I love the idea of unique styling, but like someone in the comment section noted, it reminds me of that Grand Theft Auto 4 Cognoscenti Maybach-ish vehicle.
