S-Class (W222/C217/A217) [Official] Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222)

The Mercedes-Benz W222 is the sixth generation of the Mercedes Benz S-Class produced from 2013 to 2020. It succeeded the W221 S-Class and is the predecessor to the W223 S-Class. Production: June 2013 – September 2020. Model years: 2014–2020.
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupé and Convertible (C217/A217) are the S-Class grand tourers manufactured from 2014 to 2020. Production: November 2014 – August 2020. Model years: 2015–2021.
I think he meant just this generation, not previous. My current S class has the 5 spokes on it, and it looks great.
Indeed, I was only speaking about the current model W222. In the W221, this was not the case. The free space did not bother me at all. However with the old W221 without AMG packet, I often have the impression that large rims tend to come out of the car. When you are behind such a W221, it seems to me that the wheels are too big for the car and the car is somehow lifted. This is no longer the case in the new model with or without AMG packet.

Totally agree with your perspective.

These are the rendering of forth coming Pullman revealed by worldcarfans.com.

Does anyone think the new Pullman could look like this. If yes, among both of these which could possibly be the door/window design.

If not, how do you think it could look like.

The Pullman is just going to be an extended S-Klasse.
Nothing more , nothing less...

For bad roads smaller wheels are better. I don't like any of the 18 inch wheels available on the S class.
I think this type of 5 spoke wheels would look pretty nice even in 18 inch dimension but unfortunately they are available only on the E class.
I don't see why they wouldn't fit on the S class (of course with higher profile tires)

2015 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Debuts In L.A., S600 Coming To Detroit Show

Get ready for even more powerful versions of the new S-Class sedan: The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG will debut this November at the 2013 Los Angeles auto show, and the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S600 will follow at the 2014 Detroit auto show in January, sources tell us. Both of the cars will use twin-turbocharged V-12 engines and, just like the S600 and S65 versions of the outgoing S-Class sedan, sit at the top of Mercedes’ luxury-car range.
Revealing the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG at the Los Angeles auto show makes sense given that market’s propensity for high-end AMG cars. Previously, company representatives told us that nearby Newport Beach, California, is home to the top-selling AMG dealer in the country. Expect this model to use the same engine as is found in the Mercedes CL65 AMG — the CL-Class is merely a two-door S-Class, and will in fact be named the S-class coupe shortly — meaning the 2015 S65 AMG will pack 621 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough might to send the CL65 AMG to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds; the heavier S-Class sedan might need a few ticks more, but it will still be fast.
As for the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S600, it continues the tradition of having a non-AMG V-12-powered model at the top of the S-Class ladder. It should use a detuned version of the aforementioned twin-turbo V-12 engine; if it matches the mill used in the current Mercedes CL600 coupe, expect 510 hp and 612 lb-ft. The S65 AMG will be offered only with 4Matic all-wheel drive, as is the case with the existing Mercedes S63 AMG, but we’re told the new S600 will be a rear-wheel-drive model.
The S65 and S600 will offer a serious step up in terms of power compared to the S-Class models currently on sale. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S550 (pictured above) has a twin-turbo 4.7-liter V-8 engine with 455 hp and 516 lb-ft, while the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4Matic (pictured below) boasts 577 hp and 664 lb-ft from its twin-turbo 5.5-liter V-8.
Think Mercedes will have trouble selling so many top-end models? Think again. By the end of this year, Mercedes will sell 21 distinct models in the U.S. priced above $90,000 — and five of those will cost more than $200,000 — proving there is still a considerable market for six-figure luxury cars.
Both the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG and 2015 Mercedes-Benz S600 will launch in early summer 2014.

Did you get any pics of the S-Coupe you can post to that S-Coupe section ?

Wasn't the Mercedes-Benz stand amazing ?

I've no doubt that Mercedes stand and the press conference was the best in IAA 2013.

Few S-Coupe picture posted on: http://www.germancarforum.com/community/threads/mercedes-benz-concept-s-class-coupe.49587/page-10
