ok while u guys are discussing about the pricing info for the USA, here are some pricing info for the chinese.... no spec info on all of the models so far.

S400L(only available in china so far, it has the 3.0T M276 E30 engine) starts at 196040.40 USD all the way to 236882.15 USD
S400L hybrid(same power plant as the V221 model) starts at 236882.15 USD to 245050.50 USD.
and S500L starts at 326734.00 USD and go all the way up to 343070.70 USD.

again, spec info are not available yet, but i suspect standard equipment for Chinese spec S400L will be higher than the standard S550 in the US...

Will your car reach the dealership in time for supposed Oct15th release date?
Mine is scheduled for Oct1st build...

I am hoping it will reach VPC before release date. The release date is 3 weeks away so I am hopeful. I guess the release date implies the date VPC will release cars and not the delivery date to the customer.

Good point, I hadn't thought of it that way... It makes more sense that Oct15th would the VPC release date rather than delivery date.
I am still sceptical MBUSA will even make THAT date, I will believe it when I see cars actually at dealerships...
I'm realistically hoping I get my car on or about the 1st of November...

The MBUSA configurator moved the Exclusive Nappa Leather back to a price of TBD and Limited Availability. Does anyone have an active order date with that interior? I'm guessing it is limited availability in the early stages. I'm hoping any supply issues would be alleviated by February when they build mine.

I ordered my car on May 24th when sales oppened in Europe. I just got confirmation from the dealer that delivery will be next week. The original delivery date was July 20th. The car will be delivered in Portugal. Prices in the US are are much cheaper due to high sales taxes in Europe specially if the car has a motor larger than a small lawn mower. My S350 comes out at 167K US.
