No S350 petrol engine?

Really liking the standard bumper but the Maybach one is a bit chrome heavy, funny that it comes from the S650 Cab, along with the wheels which look fab btw..

@Mick Briesgau

If true, that really is disappointing.

Perhaps RWD version will be available in the next model year, or be offered in Europe only?

Is there any detailed information on the V12 motors on regular, Maybach & AMG variants? Will AMG S65 be getting 4matic?

If S680 is China specific what could be the replacement badge of Maybach S600 in rest of Chinese market? S650 or anything else?

No S350 petrol engine?
I don't know, I just mentioned what they've said at the presentation:)

You can see the 350L on the podium, though.

Interesting, but 680, 650, 600, 350, 350d and 400d... are not mentioned so far. (The latter two are mentioned with 4MATIC, and the first one is said to be China-only model).

So, it is possible that other models will be introduced depending on the market.

Hmm, I doubt it. Besides, Europe is the market for dieselengines. If there was to be introduced a RWD I6 cylinder diesel, they would have mentioned it. I think the "rest of the world" isn't particularly interested in diesel; 4Matic or RWD.

Sorry for my ranting, but I just don't get it. The terrific fuel economy figures of the new engines are also mostly undone by introducing them with 4Matic only...

In terms of engine - pretty much unchanged. 630PS und 1000NM. (Shame really :( )

@Mick Briesgau

You're probably right. Even though I'm not a buyer, I'm sad for them not offering a RWD 350d. (Even th 560 is 4MATIC... .. .)

Any info on the 65 model?

The S 65 with its high-torque 6.0-litre V-12 Biturbo engine remains the spearhead of the S-Class models. 6.0-litre V-12, 463 kW (630 hp) at 4800-5400 rpm, 1000 Nm at 2300-4300 rpm, AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC PLUS.

NO 4MATIC+ :)

No improvement for me. What bothers me most is that the smaller headlights make the bumpers look more massive than before.

@Mick Briesgau: your issue is with the lack of RWD 6 cyl. diesel, right? Beyond that particular combination: the new in-line 6 cyl. gasoline engine will come with RWD by the end of the year.
