The Mercedes-Benz W222 is the sixth generation of the Mercedes Benz S-Class. Body styles: W222 (standard), V222 (long), X222 (limousine, Mercedes-Maybach), VV222 (pullman), C127 (coupé), A217 (convertible). Predecessor: S-Class (W221). Successor: S-Class (W223). Production: 2013–2020.
LOL, S65 is now worthless when there is S63 with 612ps and 4matic. And you have to pay price of another car added to S63 price, for something that is inferior?

The funniest thing is that s63 is faster than s65)) 3.5s VS 4.3s

Yes, and S63 will maybe feature 9G, so when you combine 4matic and 9G but only18ps less you get faster car.
Even though, I don't know where did W201 and that other guy find that information.

Frontlights are ruined just as I predicted. Their boxy shape and strange graphics completely do not correspond with the rest of the the car. The result is S-class lost much of its prominent look from the front. And these AMG bumpers... OMG :(

Here is the AutoBild's video. Made in NYC, btw.

I think the info is from Press release, although I could be wrong, since I've been reading announcements on all sides.
Let's hope I'm wrong, and 65 offers some +650PS(y)

You're probably right. Even though I'm not a buyer, I'm sad for them not offering a RWD 350d. (Even th 560 is 4MATIC... .. .)
That's very kind of you @W201

@Mick Briesgau: your issue is with the lack of RWD 6 cyl. diesel, right? Beyond that particular combination: the new in-line 6 cyl. gasoline engine will come with RWD by the end of the year.
Yes, that's my issue @Busty
I'll tell you, this is going to cost MB future sales in the diesel departement, at least in Europe. I hate to be forced into AWD. I can't imagine I'm the only one who feels this way.

The AMG S65 still delivers its power differently and is available with Magic Body Control & Active Curve Tilt. It's definitely not as sporting as the AMG S63 but it does offer some advantages from a comfort standpoint.

RWD Diesel will be launched by the end of this year. Don't worry.

Hmmmm.. Need more info, especially about the I6 models and the S65. If the S65 doesn't get 4Matic and more power then it is pointless.

The S65 looks more aggressive, but I prefer the sophisticated look of the pre-facelift. Love the tech and interior. Still not a fan of the bumper... makes it look like the lower E-class.

No improvement for me. What bothers me most is that the smaller headlights make the bumpers look more massive than before.
That, and the bottom edges of the lights and the lower air intakes are more horizontal before, where else on the pref face lift cars, the lines are more angled and it looks like it is more tightly wrapped around the corners of the front bumpers.

Sigh...............

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz S450 and S450 4Matic are powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine making 362 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, while the 2018 Mercedes-Benz S560 and S560 4Matic are powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 making 463 hp and 516 lb-ft. Both engines are backed by a new nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. Rear-drive is standard, while 4Matic models feature the automaker’s 4Matic all-wheel-drive system. The S560 nomenclature replaces the previous S550 name.

I HATE this. Why introduce a new I6 and then saddle the U.S. market with this tired ass V6? The new LS500 with it's 415hp V6 is going to beat this S450 left and right in comparisions again. The new I6 with 400+ hp wouldn't suffer that indignity. At the very least if you were going use this V6, give it the full 396hp of the E43. GOODNESS.
