I have been listening to the CLE63s model in camo and it does not sound like a V8 to my ears.
It is lacking that M177 low-end bass. The rumble also does not suggest multiple pistons either, it almost sounds like half the pistons with a low bark. I believe this is the M139 used in the C63s with the same E-Motor setup, I could definitely be wrong here.

Recently have been seeing the 53 AMG versions around, and I must say its one of the best looking mercs these days. The non AMG models are fine, nothing special imho, but it was surprising to see what a good presence the AMG has.
