They’re absolute fools if the introduce a 4 cylinder CLE 63 now.

M
The development cycle is so long, they may just be locked into the engine choice. It is indeed foolish to have a 53 with the I6 and the 63 with the I4.

Given that there are mules with V8s, it's just better to can the i4 hybrids.

That or they need to rebrand it to something else like CLE 2.0 P3

No way they're canning the i4 CLE63 e-Performance, fairly certain they will sell both alongside each other.

Nope. No way. Putting the V8 in this car is easy as pie for them. It’s basically a new generation C63 Coupe. No way they’re going to introduce another 4-cylinder after the colossal failure of the C63.

Won’t happen. Why on earth would they do that? No one would buy the 4-cylinder next to the V8. Unless they’re market specific.

The i4 version would need to be significantly cheaper, for a start. And maybe they would only exist in somewhere like China.
But even then I doubt anyone would want one.

Isn't the CLE63 S e-Performance already passed all of it's certifications to be on sale?

I recall someone posting earlier something about the CLE63 S e-Performance being confirmed. The V8 wouldn't have "e-Performance" nomenclature.

And it could be beneficial in some countries where they're taxed on displacement and whatnot.

Yeah and it was cancelled per most if not all sources. Yeah different markets would be the only reason they would push forward with such a doomed car. No one wants the 4-cylinder "63".

Not sure, but in some scenes there is some faint V8 burble otherwise the exhaust was quiet and only heard tire noise.

Maybe its Euro7 mitigation or something.
It doesn't sound full blooded AMG V8, but it also doesn't sound like the inline-4.

Hard to tell in that video. Kinda sounds like a vacuum cleaner one min and then a very faint V8 rumble the next. I don’t think we will have to wait much longer.

Because of Euro 7, every new car model with a 6 or 8 cylinder will be nerfed. Larger cats, rev limiter, quieter exhaust, flattened torque curve, you name it.

I’ve seen several of them irl now, last week an E53. All of them rather high specced. To me the car looks very good in a normal every day setting.
