Stay tuned, I bet they nail it like you wouldn't believe. The RR Sport will be even sportier but more luxurious inside at the same time. This has me thinking that maybe the next Discovery (if there is one) should be the throwback in design, more so than the Defender, pure old school and possible open air design so it can be relevant again. Pretty much what the Defender should have been I guess. Might be too confusing though.

I don't dislike the new Tesla Model S interior but, the best in the market? That's a huge overstatement IMO.

That Tesla interior is utter shit compared to the Rover, wait to anything. Stupid, useless steering wheel and poor fit and no luxury to be found.

It really looks like the primary draft of what would be an interior, (a very very boring and cheap looking one), with internal door panels/handles from 20 years ago.
Ten steps behind the previous Tesla S, that looked and was much more original and well made

I’m talking design aspects only, both are following same design language. Qualitywise I can’t judge, even though I hope the 2022 Model S is more improved.

"Minimalism" is becoming a bit of a "catch term" with regard to automotive design-but man, when I see exercises like this Range Rover, the Rivians, the Lucid and the Polestars, I get a comforting feeling that all is well in automotive designdom after all. Hopefully, should an XJ sedan have a future at JLR (it should be "LRJ"), I hope that its designers will adhere to this path.
