Range Rover [Official] Gen 5 Range Rover

The Land Rover Range Rover, generally shortened to Range Rover, is a 4x4 luxury SUV produced by Land Rover. The Range Rover line has been in production since it was launched in 1970 by British Leyland.
I believe you lol

Aren't all those engines BMW sourced or am I missing something?

Yes the 4.4L V8 in the new Range Rover is BMW's V8. C&D just posted a little blurb about it:

UPDATE 10/27/21: A Land Rover representative confirmed to Car and Driver that the 4.4-liter V-8 is sourced from BMW, saying that “Jaguar Land Rover has extended its ongoing powertrain collaboration with BMW Group for the joint development of state-of-the-art V-8 petrol engines.”

So Range Rover gets BMW V8? Hope of improved reliability just got thrown out of the window.

This car has a concept car look with its minimalist lines and blackened flush green house. It is a knockout design especially the rear end with those unusual thin vertical brake lights. Land Rover engineers have really reached new highs.

This new Range Rover is the best looking luxury SUV out there, totally kills the GLS, X7, new Land Cruiser 300, new Lexus LX600 and Bentangya for looks.

The interior continues the minimalist look of exterior but looks really upmarket and luxurious. Love the different wood options and using of ceramics and other exotic materials. Makes the interior of the German cars look a bit cheap skate by comparison

I am curious about the leather free interior and wonder what it smells like!

Also, this is my new favorite luxury SUV, favorite SUV period.

Gen 3 was my favorite too. I noticed Harry Metcalfe in the Harry's Garage video mentioned Gen 3 was his favorite as well.
Just finished watching Metcalfe's video. I am digging that Gen 1 Overfinch. He perfectly articulated why the Gen 3 is that much more appealing than the successive gens. I wish he had shown the interior.

Meanwhile in Germany…?

They say a picture is worth 1000 words... in this case, these 3 pics says everything about how lost the BMW and MB design is.

I hope Mercedes sees how close the panel fits and cut lines are on this thing. You literally can't even see them. How can Land Rover put a car together better than fcuking Mercedes-Benz?

M
Man I can't believe how slim the shut lines are, they must be like 2mm or so hardly any gaps. It looks like the car has been carved out of solid metal and someone taken a thin knife and put some small lines on it. I love how the window sill and windows have hardly any rubber sealing and gap with glass pain and door panel is micro slim. The machine tolerances on this car must have been a head ache for the production engineers to resolve, but they done an awesome job.

What a brilliant design this car is. I f$cken love the way it looks. My favorite SUV by far.

Excellent, the camera loves it, first time I see the logos of "Land Rover" I think they fit better than when "debadge" in the previous photos and videos.

Only if the doors were welded would they be less noticeable, I am very intrigued to see that visual effect IRL in the wild

Even though that’s not the spec I would go for, it looks incredible from 6 minutes onwards, when it is backing up to that trailer and then towing it. Truly concept car like...
