Came across this. Lots of comments and reviews on things and quirks that one would only experience while owning the new F10. Done in a non-partial sense by Inside-Line (Long Term Test Reviews).

520d ED

Not that interesting but quite important for the european fleet market: was at my dealer yesterday and he told me that as from september there will be a 520d efficient dynamics with about 119gr CO2/km. I think the current one has a consumption of about 128gr CO2/km.

A winner on the outside and just superbly designed and finished on the inside...having a very good look at HiRes pictures of the new A6 interior - IMO I can't imagine myself how the Audi's interior can come close in any persons book to that of the F10 5er:t-hands:
:t-cheers:

So is the 550i 110 kg heavier than 535d, or is the 550i engine 110 kg heavier than 535d engine? The article makes me confused..

I keep seeing the upcomming BMWs with the turn signals in the mirrors. What is going to happen with the "new" BMWs with the turn signals located in the chrome piece of the side profile? Will the chrome be removed and the mirrors changed?. I´m thinking in the 7er and 5er.

What do you mean? In your head you mean?? Either way, I think it needs a new generation for a change of location, and not a FL

The new 1er is comming with turn signals in the mirrors and the 3er seems it´s comming with them too. And F01 is only one year to its LCI, so...

Does this look good or not. Frozen Silver Individual 530d

The 5er M is perfect, but... Those 7er with the M Pack... For God´s shake, the blue one looks spectacular, and the grey 760i is out of this world.

Has anyone experienced the new electronic assisted steering system in the F10 that has gotten criticized by some of the "premier" automative review aficionados? Also, I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Xdrive versions still use a hydraulic assisted steering system, is this true? Same for MY12 too?

Don't know about the F10 but my MY2011 E90 is xDrive and it has the electronic assisted steering. I was very pessimistic about the electronic assisted steering since I used to drive a MY2007 E90 xDrive which had the hydraulic assisted steering. After having driven my current car for more than 40000 km, I can assure you that at least in my MY2011 E90 the electronic assisted steering is brilliant. At it's best it's pretty damn close to the hydraulic assisted steering of my MY2007 E90 but then again it has advantages over the hydraulic assisted steering, the shorter turning at lower speeds to mention one.

If it makes any difference my MY2007 E90 was a 325xi and my current MY2011 E90 is a 330d xDrive.

Current/Prospective F10 M Sport Owners-Did You Cross Shop A Lincoln MKS??!!

I noticed a couple of Infiniti M56's and Lincoln MKS's at the BMW PC. It looked to be a setup for some sort of comparo but the Lincoln MKS made me think not. Only today did the F10 M Sports show up. Are you shocked/surprised that BMW is benchmarking a Lincoln MKS???!!! I can understand the M56....not the MKS. A German BMW employee who was setting up the comparison confirmed the comparo. He said the comparison was for internal BMW purposes and both the driving characteristics and feature sets of the two comparison cars would be studied. What do think??? Infiniti yes....MKS no. The F10's had a nifty front passenger seat video setup. Thanks.
