So does anyone of you own this shit ?.

Im in Germany and sixt didnt have the C I ordered and gave me the 320d, with some kind of M kit.

What the f#ck is going on with the suspension?? Why is it so hard and bouncy, the damn GT3 or Spyder rs is more comfortable. Even in comfort mode it’s unbearable.

Other than that solid like a brick, great interior quality, great exterior looks. Strong engine , super economy.

I rented a M440i last year in Italy, it was NOT this hard.

It’s ridiculous, I would never buy it for that reason.

Oh and the car play f#cks up 50% of the time.

The 318i sure has come a long way since the days of the E36 318i that needed 12 seconds to reach 100 km/h.

Now you can own a 318i without having to feel embarrassed about owning a 318i.

The fuel consumption is excellent for a petrol powered saloon of this size and weight. They are the same as diesels from about 5 years ago. Traveling at 120kmh speed limit in most countries outside of Germany and you could get 1000km range, which is double or triple most electric cars can achieve. Even at 140kmh you getting 800km range.

The performance figures are not exactly quick but they respectable and the timed 0-100 in the test of 8.71sec is almost the same as the claimed 8.6sec while the indicated top speed of 226kmh is in line with the claimed 223kmh.

People have to understand that any car that goes from 0 to 100 km/h in less than ten seconds is quick enough and they should shut the f#ck up about it and be grateful.

It is quick enough for point to point driving in traffic areas. That is the same time as the first gen hot hatches like the Golf 1 GTI and they never felt slow.

I'd take a E36 318i over a brand new one any day.

There's something called torque-to-weight ratio, which is often overlooked by people. That's what makes a car that on paper should be agile, but feel sluggish in reality and one that on paper should feel sluggish, but feel agile in reality.

250nm is very little for a car of that size and weight. But it's adequate if the majority of your driving is below 50mph and you rarely drive on the motorway or with more than two people in the car.

Nowadays it probably feels more than before due to the modern turbos delivering maximum torque lower down the rev range and having a flatter torque curve than the previous NA engines and previous turbo engines. This together with the gearboxes having more gears as @martinbo pointed out the torque is higher between the gearshifts.

9 seconds in a completely stessed out engine.
Thanks but no thanks. There is absolutely nothing to be found of a premium feel, or driving pleasure.
