It reminds me of when I test drove a pension spec Huyndai i20.9 seconds in a completely stessed out engine.
Thanks but no thanks. There is absolutely nothing to be found of a premium feel, or driving pleasure.
It has to be a fun chassis though. A Miata, GR86, my E30, yes. The G31 520d loaner I had a few years ago in Germany, no way. Really missed driving a B58 while I was out there. Honestly the 6 Cylinder engines are one of the only things modern BMWs have going for them IMO.Personally I think there's a lot to be said for the concept of 'driving a slow car fast', than 'driving a fast car slow', but it does depend a lot on the roads you're driving on.

I'm interpreting it as "b58 makes it good enough to overlook the chassis issues"That's an engine though. Are you saying the G31 wasn't a good chassis, but would have been good if it had a B58? That doesn't strike me as a chassis problem.
What I am saying it isn’t a fun or engaging chassis, so with a B58 it at least has some redeeming quality (decent sound, lots of power). But even with a B58 it’s not a great drivers car. I would have kept my 540i longer if it was. That's an engine though. Are you saying the G31 wasn't a good chassis, but would have been good if it had a B58?
