8 Series (G15) [Official] BMW 8 Series Coupé (G15)

The second-generation of the BMW 8 Series consists of the G14 (convertible version), G15 (two-door coupe version) grand tourers, and G16 (four-door "Gran Coupe" sedan version) executive cars (E). The G14/G15/G16 generation has been in production since 2018, and is often collectively referred to as the G15. It replaced the F06/F12/F13 6 Series lineup. Production: 2018-
So mindless banter is preferable?

Yes.

We have threads for pics and threads for mindless banter. It's not that hard is it?

In this case though, it's not debadged. It's been photoshopped from the photo, which is a bit bizarre.

Not just 'a bit'.
And when people debadge their cars they do not take only one letter off, LOL. I have never seen that I think.

But yeah, it's a photoshop and it's clearly visible. More like an MS Paint job.

OMG does the camera have to be in his face like that? Can't even watch that.

I spend 2 days in München last week. My car was happy to meet his hometown for the first time, and well she was so happy that she displayed probably the best sign available on the display

Well on thursday driving back from Castle Neuschwandstein to München on the Landstrasse, I noticed far behind me a car looking similar to a 6 coupé. But as there was too much cars between us, I could not realize what it was. Just that some parts had some strange paint scheme. Once I took the Highway and started to take benefit of the sign showed by my car, I saw in my mirror the car coming nearer and nearer, some traffic made it last longer than excepted. I finally let him pass (I was at 200) and at the moment I realized it was a 8 serie. Sorry guys, I can't tell you if it was the coupe or the gran coupé neither which engine it was. I was so surprised that I did not checked the details. And my Commander in Chief next to me said "don't even believe you are going to race him"...
By the way we stayed in an hotel next to Viktualien market (Frauenstrasse), I was quite surprised on wednesday early evening to spot within 15 minutes:
- New Rolls Royce camouflaged
- New serie 3 sedan camouflaged (not 340i model)
- New X3 Hybrid white NOT camouflaged
- New Supra coupé camouflaged
and on thursday again the new serie 3 sedan camouflaged. sorry no pics
Enjoy

Hi guys,

First time posting. I've been following this thread and I was trying to find if someone had mention whether there will be a 840i I6 coming with more affordable price. The v8 versions have such high price tag that I doubt it will sell.

Oh yeah on the street live and in motion it looks the part. Now bring on the Cabrio.

New BMW 8 Series Convertible (M850i) Completely Revealed by Latest Spyshots
We know that the 8 Series Convertible will debut pretty soon, and the latest batch of spyshots supports this. BMW has stripped everything except a small patch of camouflage over the rear deck.
Obviously, this car is a direct replacement to the 6 Series Convertible. More specifically, we are dealing with the M850i, which has a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, just like the 650i before it, only it costs a lot more money.

For whatever reason, BMW decided against trimming its roster of roofless cars. Besides the new Z4, we've also seen a replacement for the 4 Series in the past few weeks. To be honest, we're happy they made the 8er, because it's one of the few BMW models that have as much character as its Mercedes rivals.

Compared to the regular 8 Series, this M850i Convertible is a heck of a lot sportier, with a set of chunky air intakes and gigantic rectangular exhaust ports at the back. The 4.4-liter should have the familiar M-specific setup with 530 HP and 750 Nm of torque for a 0 to 100 km/h time of 4 seconds or under. xDrive with torque vectoring and an 8-speed auto will be standard.

Looking at the coupe model that's already gone on sale, we see that it starts from $112,000, compared to about $90,000 for the previous model. But you do get a lot more tech as standard, including some M performance enhancements.

This color is called Barcelona Blue and is distinctive to the model for now. It works quite well with the brushed metal grille, but we would have like to see a sportier choice of wheels. Laser headlights? Check.

Of course, other engines will also be available. The one BMW has already confirmed is the 3-liter twin-turbo diesel with 320 HP fitted to the 840d xDrive. However, we have a sneaking suspicion that an M850d is also on its way.
