8 Series (G15) [Official] BMW 8 Series Coupé (G15)

The second-generation of the BMW 8 Series consists of the G14 (convertible version), G15 (two-door coupe version) grand tourers, and G16 (four-door "Gran Coupe" sedan version) executive cars (E). The G14/G15/G16 generation has been in production since 2018, and is often collectively referred to as the G15. It replaced the F06/F12/F13 6 Series lineup. Production: 2018-

This is the botton line of why its existence and the achievement of rubbing shoulders with the world elite in terms of prestige and performance, that duality that all square head journalists and other "experts" youtubers do not understand is the only and real strategic analysis that it must be done and it is done with the customers that make up this niche in mind, the remarkable fact is to compete equally with a 911 Turbo and at the same time with a Continental and not that it beats both of them (which does in certain aspects), if it were superior to both in everything it would be an unreal car.

I do not remember an S Class coupe in a comparison with a 911 or a 911 against a Bentley, the only thing that I see as the M8 conceptually is the DBS, and just by being with these dream machines BMW should keep this segment alive since also sales were very good

Whelp. M8 Coupe and Convertible sales were so slow here that we're not getting 2021 model year cars. The 8-series as whole has been selling slowly but the M models have been particularly bad. The M8 Gran Coupe is still available for order though.

Perhaps odd, but the BMW RWD 2 doors that say "BMW !!" most loudly, most clearly to me are the 2 series cars. It's been that way since the E82/E88 1 series models. Not that I did not love the F32 4er coupe...or the E46 2 doors...since I found those to be stellar automobiles as well. I owned an E46 coupe for 4 years (1999-2003) and very much liked it. But to me, the more BMW 2 doors progress up the model/segment lines, the less I care for them. The last large BMW 2 door coupe that genuinely bedazzled me was the E24.

In it's day, the E24 Alpinas were about as good as it got when it came to large 2+2 coupes. Somehow, BMW does not seem to be able to recapture that particular spirit.
And it's a bloody shame that BMW did not run with this gorgeous concept:

How excellent would have a toned-down, wingless production version been ?

Bad sales were inevitable. The car market have changed since the M6. We now have a saturated GT market, performance SUVS which are great all-rounders and supercars that can be driven daily.

Although the M8 is impressive on paper, it's too expensive and only shines at twice the legal speed limit. However, it's a great buy if you can find a cheap lease.

Let's see, it was only for a month or two for sale when the pandemic started, for obvious reasons the 2020 stock went to 2021.

I really wanted this car to succeed. I don’t think it was priced correctly fr the start.

Since it’s debut, I’ve only seen four 8 series in the wild and I live in Dubai!

My count in real-life on the road environments: Perhaps a pair of coupes, a pair of cabriolets (one of which in Frankfurt) and a single GC. And I reside in the northwestern EUs' largest metropolitan region. The F12/13/06 6ers appeared to be more plentiful, especially the F06 GCs'.

Yep! What a pitty! And Corona didn't help there too. :(
I just had a look at germanys biggest used online car market.
An absolutely fully equipped M8 Coupe with individual color (so we are talking about a list price over 200k € here) is offered for sub 137k€!
8 months old and 9000km from certified dealer with full warranty.
This is the un-negotiated price!
So I expect low 130k € being called finally.
This is a resale value/price drop of 35% in a bit more than half a year.
It hurts - even wealthy individuals. I do expect (without havin done research), that e.g. a 992 911 rather loses 20% in the same timespan?
