I continue to think that the W/S214 E-Class cars are very attractive. And I continue think that they constitute the most attractive M-B "non-SUV" model line currently. And I continue to suspect that M-B may have more of a "brand cred" problem than a problem explicitly pertaining to the vehicles per se. In Germany, Mercedes-Benz has long ceased being what it used to be. And it's brand cred was unassailable. That began to slowly but surely erode. I suppose that began as of the mid-1990s. The malaise partially self-inflicted, but much of it also due to simply increasingly competent, compelling competition. Both BMW and Audi started smashing a number of balls out of the park. Sure, M-B had their "comebacks"...but somehow managed to fumble one thing or another afterwards.

Seen an LCI i5 with the “Neue-Klasse” facia. Investigated to see the car was recently built.
Since full optics were still not shown it makes me consider that if we are getting two headlight options?
Will the M specific headlights require a different appearance?

I like the facia on both prototypes, and really couldn't care less which will be the one that wins the battle. Everything is better than that front we have now. Like the 7er this will be transformational.

Somehow, I think BMW had never meant to extend and elongate the taillights from the early prototype before re-editing the headlights and kidney grille. This means the retooled one has confirmed that the length and width are exactly the same as the pre-facelift form, but they are not too shy to conceal them in terms of their alternate inner graphics anymore.

Since I returned to the forum yesterday, I've only been writing my opinions. I haven't attacked anyone, but you keep pushing me into arguments. You're even writing my name. You're trying to influence other members. You should stop bothering me and mind your own business. I'm also curious about the forum I was banned from.

Car looks good even with camo, cant see this car not being good looking. The pre LCI didn't grow in me like most BMWs usually do.

It could be that you are simply very impressed by the wide tracked/more pronounced, less slabbed wheelarch metal surfacing presented on many images. I can assure you, so am I. I'd love to see this on the "non M5" LCI cars. But alas, I very much doubt that this will be the case.

I love the new BMW design on the outside, but the front dashboard inside looks awful. It’s like visual chaos for a perfectionist. The dashboard looks very messy, and that second screen in the 7 Series looks especially ridiculous.
Given that the flagship model ended up with this kind of interior (basically taken from the iX3), I don’t expect anything better in the 5 Series or the X5. And that empty space in front of the driver they should have put a screen there. The steering wheel has a terrible shape.
Overall, the idea is good, but the execution feels chaotic.
