6 Series (F12) [Official] BMW 6er Coupe (F13)

The third generation of the BMW 6 Series consists of the F12 (two-door convertible version), F13 (two-door coupé version), and F06 (four-door "Gran Coupé" version) executive-sized grand tourers. The F12/F13/F06 generation is often collectively referred to as the F12. Production: March 2011 – September 2018.
Thanks! Seems a lot easier to get knowledge of who directly designed what from BMW as opposed to Mercedes.

It's just as easy for MB models, but MB fans don't know where to look probably.

This new 6er is really nice looking, very cutting edge and graceful!

... makes the previous version look like Frankenstein.

Ugh, the previous versions front (and rear) are hideous! Instantly dated looks, that look like something from the 80's trying to predict what cars would look like in the year 2000! Lol. What's with the terrible chrome accents above the grille? Makes the car look like it has a mustache, lol.

The new one is grace and beauty! Finally a PROPER 6-Series to continue the legacy started by the stunning and highly regarded 1st gen.

Be honest Klier, K-A's right! And the new MB E is much improved over the out-going version. Pretty special car actually, and on my list to test.

Hehe, it was a joke man, lighten up ;)

The E can be rather pretty, yes. But sadly rather dull too in some editions. Definitely not yours though :)

Thanks man, and I was just playing along. I do agree though. :t-cheers:

Best BMW designs for me were the old 328, M1, and e24. I loved most of my e63, but the booty never warmed me up.

My f13 is ordered, and I have high hopes.

Maybe LED indicators have deliberately been left from the standard specification so that they can be offered as part of the full LED headlights option when that comes, and therefore enhancing that option? That's the only possible explanation as far as I'm concerned. It doesn't make sense that the 3 Series has them as standard (and the forthcoming 1 Series LCI?).

Looks like my post made in November LAST YEAR was exactly correct. Well done Betty.

AND I REPLIED TO YOUR POST;)

IMO the best explanation yet Betty, knowing BMW as a customer not even the windscreen are standard anymore. The keyword is OPTION/S = money = BMW Group
:t-cheers: Spot on!

Very nice. I do think I know what they'll do to the grille for the facelifted version, which is maybe elongate it upward a bit.

Seriously, this car is almost absolute design perfection. Almost.

There's one little, tiny element that annoys me....

I know, I know, I probably mentioned it sometime earlier. IMO, it could of been 100% perfect if there were an actual vent there (and even better if it served some function) instead of of black plastic with a parts catalog number on it. It seems like the bean-counters at the Munich office had a say on this matter. I know it's minor thing, but when you're this close to a perfect design and it's sullied by some cheapo solution, I just find it annoying.
