5 Series (G30) [Official] BMW 5-Series (G30)

The BMW G30 is the seventh generation of the BMW 5 Series. Body styles: (G30) (sedan), (G31) (wagon), (G38) (LWB sedan). Predecessor: 5 Series (F10). Successor: 5 Series (G60). Production: 2016-2023.
You need to sit in the new Mercedes models and compare as well to the latest Audi models. The 3 series is not as well built as the A4 or C-class, nor is the 1-series when compared to A-class and A3, but they are still classy and look great inside no doubt. As for the 5-series having a superior interior to the E-class is subjective as maybe you prefer the layout and look of the BMW but some other people might think the same of the Mercedes. I have yet to sit inside the E-class but I have sat inside both the C-class and the S-class and both cars are built with really great materials, the S-class feels richer inside than the 7-series, the BMW is more technical in its layout and design although it also uses great materials. The C-class has the best design and feeling door panels in the compact class, metal look switches which no rival has, not even a 5-series. Ok that is also subjective if you like black plastic or metallic look switches.

If you go into details with 5-series against E-class and A6 you will find that each car is built more or less on the same level but each car has some unique design touches that make them special and stand out from each other without been superior to each other.

Based on what I have read, the 5er seems to have the edge in terms of interior quality. Don't think the same can be said about the 7er for example.

I have been inside the W213 and I was not shocked with the interior quality. It was good but it did not rock my world. With the exception of the upper part of the dash, the interior is basically the same as the C-Class.

Therefore, IMO, it is not as easy as certain fangirls here try to put it, some BMW models have better interior than the competitors and some do not. I would say the 5er is top notch right now, until the A6 comes.

Btw, in the compact segment I would say the A3 is far ahead of the A-Class and 1er.

It actually depends on what line you are comparing. I checked out a pretty much standard 5-serie, the interior quality of that didn't match my Exclusive line E-class.

Good joke.
Everything about the A class is horrible, including the cheap and ugly interior.

And also, F30 interior quality = W205 interior quality. They're different, but the C is in no way better than the 3er. Very much on the same level, with the new A4 probably slightly better than both in terms of materials used.

Agreed the A class has the worst build quality in its class even the Golfs interior is of better quality than the A class.

3 series = C class is spot on , although the C class does have an inviting interior , it lack the quality to match. The A4's interior is way ahead of both.

The point I was making earlier is that car released from the 7 series like the X1 and 5 series have drastically improved their interior quality matching or beating its competitors. X1 and 5 series have been given the edge over its competitors when it comes to build quality , while the 7 series has matched the S class. MB's interior quality have declined and is the worse compared to the Germans. MB's of late prefer form over function or quality.

Come on :D A-class has the best looking interior in the class, only A3 can be compared to it. And 1er is one the worst looking BMW's inside and out of all times.

As bad as the 1er and 3er look in terms of interior, the build quality of the pre-LCI A-Class was infamous. The central tunnel and the lower console were as cheap as it gets. I have recently been inside the FL CLA and I was surprissed by the upper dash, it was far better than I remember the A-Class. The lower part of the interior was cheap still.

The 3er segment has seen better days I believe. The E90 and F30 interiors look like crap, but so did the W204 C-Class. The previous A4 looked nice but the build quality was not good either.

Let's hope the G20 3er is closer to the 5er than to the 1er this time.

Is there an A class on sale I am not aware of???

The A class I know has nothing whatsoever to do with an MB.

On the material front, its fair to say the A Class isn't exactly the best MB can offer, but still for its segment I can live with some hard plastics here and there, which in all fairness dont actually have a that bad texture to them besides being hard of course. However, all the switchgear is definitely of higher quality than Audi or BMW imo..

No doubt, this is absolutely beautiful.....

...for a 1998 KIA.

I think the main point still applies: the G30 has what it probably is the most refined interior in the segment for now.

These performance parts on the 5er look just horribly aftermarket crappy. And I do not like these rims either.
