Wish the wheels were all black, but that color combo is killer

Most 5-series I notice on the road are either space grey or sophisto grey and Singapore grey in the case of the M5.

I saw that combination of white exterior and black rims a few days ago. Absolute stunner! Rearlights indeed are slimmer IRL.

In the 70's, 80's and 90's BMW were masters in engine development. Every new engine was class leading and put a lot of distance between it and its rivals from Audi and Mercedes but nowadays they are more or less on an equal footing. Who could forget the memorable 535i from 1980 with 160kw that was the same output been produced by the much bigger 4,5 V8 from Mercedes and then the incredible 1985 M5 with 210kw 3,5ltr 24 valve inline six, it produced more power than the Mercedes 500 SE 5,0ltr V8 (195kw) and nearly on par with the 560 SEC V8 (220kw). Then the E36 328i with the brilliant 2,8 ltr inline six that made mincemeat of the A4 2,8 and C280 six cylinders. The 325tds with 105kw was the defining Turbo diesel car in the late 1990's.

I have to give BMW credit with the N54 in the mid-2000's too- it really escalated things in the 6-cylinder horsepower wars. Only Infiniti was really pumping out over 300hp for mainstream applications and even then the N54 had more torque and was worlds more refined. Shame about the reliability though.
