Still can't get over how beautiful the rear is from these pictures . This rear is mostly the part that the E class driver is going to be seeing on the road as the 5er pulls away ....lucky buggers .

10 times as guilty and much, much worse looking.

Wrong thread though Rolf!
I'm not comparing the two cars dashes I made a comment on the BMW frame and info screen but referenced the E-class as it has a common problem

I am a BMW fan and the F10 was a fantastic car, I really enjoyed my ownership experience.. When my maintenance plan on the Panamera ends, I will seriously consider a beautifully specced 540i..

No explanation needed but thank you. I was just having a spot of fun.

..and people complain about the rearlights being too large. Give me a break gentlemen. It's stunning, best rear in the segment.
As shown earlier, the rear lights aren't much larger than previous 5er.

BEAUTIFUL!! Best BMW design alive right now!

I disliked the design of the new M5, that its not possible that the bumper nor the diffuser is going to look like the picture.
Ok - I hear you but I need to explain to you that the purpose of the dislike rating is not for members to use for saying that they don't like the information or content provided in a post.

The dislike rating is there to be used to discourage people from posting offensive, rude or insulting posts towards other members. In this case Padi was only posting what he came across elsewhere and whilst you may not like what you see, in no way was Padi's post offensive or insulting to you or other members. On GCF the dislike is actually a "negative rating" which means that it has certain functionality so one needs to be considerate when using it.

...give Padi an old rating instead. Padi is old (literally speaking). right Padi? :D j/k

IRL pics and videos with natural lights does a better job showing off the rear lights whereas, for whatever reason, the PS'ed press pics makes the rear lights bigger.

I would've deserved it  Don't think a 20 year old counts as old in any country nowadays though :D

If anyone complains about how ugly the rear of the new 5er is this is the go to picture. They will eat humble pie right there and then. This is stunning!

That Luxembourg one is, it shows M550i exhausts for example, even on 520d.

Well, there are plenty of visual bugs on the configurator for cars that have been out several years, so that is not confirmation that blue isn't available with the M Sport package. The German price list is available but I don't understand it.

The info screen looks huge in this shot

That shot is not accurate.

Agreed with you, the rear is very well designed and executed, however IMO I was hoping that BMW would come up with a better and newer rear light technology, we have seen this very rear light LED technology since the 1er LCI, so basically it is just another design with the same old tech, what bothers me a lot is that they still can not find a way to closes the gap between those connecting line graphics. so I feel its a bit of a maximised profit unit made that was put together in this beautiful design.

other than that I think the new 5 is amazing! especially this shot! perfect proportion!

Me neither, however, according to ctrl+F, I don't think it gives much away with regards to nachtblau upholstery. It's pictured in the Sport line section, and talks about exclusive stitching... that seems to be about it.
