Some screenshots from a SugarDesign video of the C class EQ, his i3 renders of this kind were very spot on, I hope he is right this time too, because this looks good - nothing crazy, just a good looking C class.

The CLA estate and GLB truly are mindbogglingly horrible looking.
I'm not bowled over by the CLA Shooting Break but I find the GLB to look very impressive especially in lighter colours and with certain wheels and having a white or beech brown interior. I would much prefer to purchase the GLB than either CLA models.

You know i was thinking, Since Mercedes is going to bet 90% of its AMG V8 models to the US, why don’t they make a Big NA V8 destined for the US market since they mostly don’t have Emissions?

Think about this…This car(s) going to compete with Corvettes, Mustangs & Cadillacs. Those all have NA/SC V8s. Americans love a car with a lovely soundtrack.

Why don’t they just copy the M156, Keep it Crossed-Plane, upgrade it with lightweight cams, Forge the pistons & rods, Make it 8000rpm, Keep power around 600hp? All that paired with 4matic+ & 9G MCT? They’d sell out for 2027 within a day.

You been drinking too much petrol with your Fruitloops son!

You not the only one, I would love a resurgance of NA performance V8s from AMG, would make them more special.

It's quite amusing that the MOPF EQS will be shown one week before the LCI i7!!:bananajam:

Gotto laugh at BMW and Mercedes, rivalry at its best!!

So in 2 weeks they will show a MPF EQS and a brand new C-class EQ!!!

Because there is no point. Aside from maybe a handful of people who'd buy one in the current economy/fuel prices. Its just a waste of time and money from a development point of view.

I love an NA V8 as much as anyone. But times have changed, and its time to move on and accept it.

All in full realization of being in a minority, I've always been a fan of these EQS sedan front sensor shield/lighting units. IMHO, one of the most attractive elements of an otherwise challenging vehicle design. Dynamic and continues to look fresh. Much prefer them to the new "Iconic" neo-retro faux-radiator design.

They seem to be affording Corvettes though🤔

Corvettes are cheap. Mercedes-Benz are not cheap. And I bet they're not having a good time with fuel prices being what they are.

American car manufacturer's can continue to be short-sighted and focus on specialty products for the American car market, but Mercedes is a European brand and will always align itself with what the EU regulations want.

Why do you think there's no other manufacturer out of Europe is making naturally aspirated V8s and V12s outside of million dollar specialty products. Its because its not worth the cost in R&D.

2027 Mercedes-Benz EQS First Look: It Finally Gets the Hardware It Always Needed
After a lukewarm start, Mercedes retools its flagship EV with faster charging, smarter tech, and a bold steer-by-wire gamble.

Particularly here on the MB side of the forum where it's all one big fantasy.

It does appear to be more frequent here, I must say. At least in comparison to the BMW, Audi and Porsche forums. Not to mention the more obscure non-German manufacturer threads.

Personally, I'm not a fan at all.
