There are an IPad-App for more Informations about the new Mini. Among other things there are informations about the LED-lighting round the Infotainmentsystem. This lighting will performed in different LED-colors depending on function, see the following pictures and the, hopefully, correct translations.

Here comes the bass. It shows the volume control and sound control.

Take the next exit. It shows navigation hints.

A bit confusing perhaps, but very cool indeed. Owners will learn the meanings soon enough I suppose.

With MINI we have learned that customers would step away from brands in the A and C segment to MINI if we could provide more practicality and flexibility.
The next generation of MINI starting with the MINI, Clubman and Spacebox with added practicality will open that door as well as a new Countryman and the first MINI Sedan.
But there will be a replacement for the MINI Coupe and Roadster as one vehicle.

I don't like at all the idea of making the MINI a bigger car. I mean, it's even in the name MINI. The tail lights are just too big and the grille hasn't grown on me. That aside, I think it looks pretty well made and high quality, I really love how the car looks from the side and I'm very excited about the 1.5 3 cylinder engine. It's half an inline 6 from what I've heard, and sounds like one. If it turns out to be a lighter car, I will forget about it being so big, and I'll surely consider a Justa in British Racing Green as my car's replacement for 2014.

I hear you, but Mini isn't the only brand that has problems with obese cars. Audis, Bimmers and Merc have grown so much that we now have models like the A3 Sedan and CLC to fulfil the role of being "small cars". Scott probably knows more about this, but Mini will likely launch a smaller car that will be more in the size of the Smart and Toyota IQ.

I agree, all cars are growing. A Jetta or a Mercedes CLA/Audi A3 sedan today is almost as big as a 15 year old C-Class or A4, maybe even bigger. It may be a good thing though.
