C-Class (W206) [Official] Mercedes Benz C-Class (W206)

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W206) is the fifth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class which is produced by Mercedes-Benz Group AG since 2021. It replaces the W205 C-Class which had been produced since 2014. The fifth-generation C-Class is available in sedan (W206), station wagon/estate (S206), and long-wheelbase sedan (V206) body styles. The W206 C-Class is based on the Mercedes MRA II rear-wheel drive modular platform also used by the W223 S-Class.

Is it known whether the C-Class facelift will bring the new interior from the GLC EV?, or will the change not be so extensive

Could possibly look like this. Spy shots suggest it’s getting a much bigger grille.

Chrome surround on the grill is too thick. Makes it look like the car has a youghurt moustach.

The spiritual successor to the BMW E90 pre facelift LOL

Kidding aside, the front of the GLC is the best part of that car and I'd love to see this design continue on the C facelift. Makes the car look more modern, more bold and generally more unique and solid looking. And I actually like the thick grille surround. Gives it this feeling of solidity imho.

But like @Merc1 said, all it really needs is some better interior parts and a few proper engines. A C53 and C63 would make the C class feel like a proper Mercedes again and not like an annoying afterthought.

The C-Class facelift might get a larger grill with a black frame like the E and S-Class facelift.
The new grill might be reserved for the EV models right now. Later, they should trickle to the gasoline and hybrid vehicles for the next generation.
(I am assuming.)

It’s funny because I think it should be the exact opposite. These black surrounds make them look more EQ-ish.

That would be terrible honestly....They should align the EV and ICE right away.

This might be the idea. As I said in the facelift S-Class thread, the black frame is a sort of badge that it is electrified, while adding a bit of sport.

I am having to reevaluate my take on this regarding the grill swap of the new GLC EV for future MB ICE models.
While the grill on the GLC EV is similar to the Vision Iconic`s grill in height and shape, relating to the past MB models, it does not have the full breathing ribs for a front engine radiator. The grill on the GLC EV might be strictly designed for newer EV models. The Vision Iconic has the full ribs designed to support either traditional air cooling for a combustion engine or for a top-end EV S-Class to look like a classic Mercedes.
It would benefit the C-Class facelift to stay in line with what is already on the table with the gas-powered lineup in the styling department IMO.
This is just my opinion. Things might shift.

it's still the same design theme. And actually the GLC EV seems to have more openings for air, plus these ribs you're pointing out are purely cosmetic.

The Vision Iconic style would be excellent for the sedans with star on the hood. I like both versions.

The GLC is a production car, so yeah, it's going to have more openings.
The Vision Iconic is an EV concept, so the ribs are cosmetic. If the LED plates were removed and replaced with air inlets like a traditional MB grill with the ribs, it would have 80-90% more airflow, much more than the GLC EV. Time will tell if the facelift C-Class gets this GLC EV grill. If it does would be a disruption with the current ICE lineup design-wise.

I think the ICE C-Class will get a combination of GLC and S-Class FL. Something with thick chrome surround but with different inlays, though I’m totally speculating.
It still has so much camo so it’s not easy to tell, but one thing is certain, and that’s the grille is getting bigger.
Definitely curious to see the facelifted C and electric C side by side.

I really hope they don’t go that route. The C needs substance updates, not flash. The normal tweaking of lights and bumpers is all the needs exterior wise. Upgraded interior and engines and far more important. There a new 3 coming and a grille is matterless in comparison to what needs to be done mechanically.

Spy photos suggest that the interior won’t be getting an update, maybe new materials and some fit & finish changes. Though I think the changes will be really minimal, if non existent.
Exterior-wise the only big difference I see is the new big grille, headlight shape seems to be same as well.
C-Class is a really good looking vehicle so it doesn’t really need much. I hope they don’t make it look busy with the FL.
