A3/S3/RS3 [Official] 2014 Audi A3/S3 Sedan


The Audi A3 is a small family car (C-segment) manufactured and marketed by Audi AG since September 1996. The first two generations of the Audi A3 were based on the Volkswagen Group A platform, while the third and fourth generations use the Volkswagen Group MQB platform.
Holy cow. They pulled it off.

This thing wipes the floor with the CLA: hey, CLA, you just got owned by the new A3 sedan. Describing the looks of the A3/S3 sedan, I'd say tight, sharp and concentrated. This is a flawless execution of front wheel drive underpinned styling.
I won't say that this is the class leader. I'll say that it is the class itself. Stunning.

Sheesh, barring the supercar whorefest at Geneva, New York has gotten some way cooler sh!t.

The motor industry is in for a very rosy future based on your "plans". If only Deckhook wouldn't keep cancelling all of his orders. :D

I'm actually getting the S3 Sedan and YES I consider buying many cars, but I'll most probably end up with just a couple of them. 2013 is the year when all my favorite cars get unveiled... so what else can you really expect ?

Someone on the other thread pointed out that on this forum he expected the S3 to win the poll over the CLA.
Yes, I'm with this guy and am so happy that that's the case here. That proves that with the exception of just a few... not all are blinded by stars or have their heads cut by a rotating propeller. I'm happy!
 
Well done Audi, the car looks resolved, proportions is spot-on and the lines are tight and tidy.:cool:

What more can ones eyes ask for? Heck even me ol'klier-mate agrees!:p

What's that...? Why, I think I can hear Dr. Zetsche crying :LOL: I love it, it is a masterclass in how to nail FWD saloon proportions and styling. Most importantly for its target market, its appearance screams expensive, restrained, and classy. Unless the next A4 grows by a considerable margin then I think the A3 Saloon renders it redundant, I love it!
 
As much as I love every little aspect of the S3... I can't deny that the rear looks Jetta-ish which is not a bad thing as I love the Jetta. The Concept's rear is way better tho :)
I love the S3 in red but I want to see some other color combos on it, now :)
 
That S3 is so, so fine. They simply have to bring the sedan to South Africa. We still have a penchant for saloons (vs. hatches and wagons) and this car will do extremely well here.
 
it will look amazing in the blue colour that some of the S3 sportback publicity photography was taken.

BTW

When one compares S3 sedan to S3 sportback it appears that every body panel was changed, even front wings, front doors and the bonnet. And the sedan looks so much better for it (even if the sportback is a good looking car itself)
 
I don't really like hatches. The only hatch I like is the Scirocco, and 1 Series F21 is acceptable (I liked 1 Series E87 though). As for this A3, especially the S3, I just don't see why to get an S4 over the S3. Well the V6 is a better engine, so as the AWD transmission, as for the rest I'm not sure the added space of the A4 is worth the price, when the S3 has same straight line performance, better consumption, better looks in and out, better interior quality (from my experience of A3 vs. A4) and could be more "fun" as it is lighter. Now an RS3 Sedan with wide-body and 400 PS I5... :love:
 
I think the interior, especially the centre stack of the dashboard is minimalistic and thus may appear cheap to some.
 
I like everything about. The size, weight, power, proportions, interior, features/tech, etc. Price is the only thing I need to know before getting in line...
