The Mercedes-Benz GLE, formerly Mercedes-Benz M-Class (designated with the "ML" nomenclature), is a mid-size luxury SUV produced by the German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz since 1997. In terms of size, it is slotted in between the smaller GLC and the larger GLS, the latter with which it shares platforms.

We began producing color head-up displays in 2003 and Continental can draw on a wealth of more than a hundred years of experience when it comes to driver information systems. Aside from its own automotive history, Continental has also inherited the experience of automotive suppliers like VDO which have become a part of Continental. The history of Continental’s automotive business began in 1908, when the Parisian firm E. Seignol established a ...

MB Accessories now offers a simple after-market head up display (HUD) for the M-Class and GL-Class.

It's part number A 166 906 1402 and dealer installable. Works best with dark dash colors.

Doesn't BMW have something similar on the 2 series Active Tourer as an option?

^ Yes, I think so. MBUSA may also offer it on both the CLA and GLA, but I see no announcement yet.
Might still be in testing or was delayed or cancelled for some other reason.

I think this HUD will appear better at night time driving but during the day that glass little screen and plastic panels will annoy me

One area where this concept is better is in front windshield costs. Apparently having HUD makes the windshield ridiculously expensive.

Has the traffic picked up on the C-Class. What is the reaction to the new ML400? I see the S Coupe is on the build your own page now, you have anyone ordering one?

It is time for the ML to get a facelift. It is one of the few Mercedes products (along with the GLK) that is seriously being left behind in it's respective segment. The ML400 should be become the GLE 450 with the facelift, i.e. the 362hp version of the new 3L turbo V6. Interior needs touching up and teching up.

Yes, agreed, Giannis. Here's a somewhat better view. :)
