A5/S5/RS5 New Audi A5 (spy pics & info), thread 2

The Audi A5 is a series of compact executive and grand touring coupé cars produced by Audi. Production: 2007-
I am certainly looking quite forward to having a close look at Audis´ upcoming A5 "in the metal". Should my anticipation regarding this car prove correct, it may well land on my short list as a possible car that I will treat myself (and my wife) to when retirement time comes around in the next few years.

Until then, we´ll stick with the current household Audis´ (2004 A4 Avant 1.8T and 2005 TT-R). So far, we have been extremely satisfied with the cars, a factor that could compel us to stick with Audi. In fact, the TT is a definite keeper and probably the most pleasurable car that I have ever owned. The Avant will probably go in 3 or 4 years...

The A5 will be on everyone's short list when it gets released. It will be the coupe where German quality and precision meets Italian design and passion. :D

I hope it doesn't end up looking like that, quite a let down from the Nuvolari concept - looks more Hyundai than Audi.

The Body shape is correct :usa7uh: Which is a good thing..

The front will be different ("IMO") - THANK eeeh.. Walter. DaSilva for that :t-drive:

The Huckfeldt CGI is just so horrible!
The lines are all wrong. The one who did that CGI must have been drunk. It looks all bent.

I can guarantee that the A5 will have much better lines than that.

Here's hoping the A5's design will employ some R8 styling q's. Notice how sculpted the lower side valance is, very nice and most definitely a step in the right direction.

Are you blind? :D

Look at the prototype in the latest spy pics! The lines are the same as Huckfeldt's!

Yes, the shoulder line is bent.

Exactly my thoughts!:D

His problem is that he doesn't like Huck's CGI and therefore he thinks it's wrong.

Well, aholic, better get on with it, 'cause his CGI is 99,9% accurate! :D

:t-cheers:

excuse me..but i havent followed this thread
but is this car soon to come..
and is that huck impression rather new..
if so.. i belive it will turn out more or less like that

Huckfeldt is doing a good job with the chops when he has internal information about how the car will look like for example C and S class.

Clealry now he is just trying to make the A5 only based on Spy shots and that's why the impression is so poorly made and unproportionate.

So bottom line is , get over Huck's PS cause it's a poor one. The front lights will look more like this chop:

or like this one:

Lines, mate, lines! He was talking about lines. And you know damn well Huck is right about that.

:t-cheers:

Audi fans in denial! :D;)

Yes, Huckfeldt's headlights are a bit fishy, but he got all the other details right (except rear light graphics).

Look at the side lines. They are IDENTICAL!

And, yes - H put 21" wheels on his CGI, which distorted the normal proportions.

But otherwise his CGI is 99.9% correct.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
