Some answers to your questions:

1 What is it?
A two-door version of the A4, available as either a coupe or a convertible. The A5 retains the A4's wheelbase in order to make the rear seat habitable for adults. Like its sedan sibling, the A5 will also be available in S and possibly RS trim.

2 What's under the hood?
Motivation will come via a turbocharged 2.0-liter four; a 265-hp, 3.2-liter V-6; a 340-hp, 4.2-liter V-8; or the RS4's even more potent 420-hp V-8. A redesigned transaxle (incorporating a more compact clutch and differential) allows the engine to sit farther back than it does in today's A4, trimming the front overhang and allowing for better weight distribution.

3 Any other goodies?
All-wheel drive, a dual-clutch DSG transmission, and Delphi's MagneRide magnetic dampers will be on the options list.

4 How much?
Audi will ask more than a BMW 3-series but less than a Mercedes-Benz CLK.

5 When's it coming?
The coupe debuts in 2007 (Geneva Motor Show); the softtop in 2008.

It's looking really good. The lines and curves give it a femanine feel, and i like how Audi are reducing the front overhangs.

Based on looks, this should be a good competitor to the 3er.

My concern is it might threaten the new TT.

The upcoming A5 will be an immensely important automobile for Audi. Not only will it be the first Audi to be based on the companys´ new longitudinal modular structure, it will also harald a new design language in terms of characteristical proportions for Audi cars from the A4 upwards. Economies of scale will also be greatly enhanced, the new structure enabling Audi to attain margins similar to those of BMW.

Say what you want, but i don't find this profile anything exciting or nice... I know there's still to much camo and fake stuff on it, but Huck was obviously right again with his CGIs and if it really ends up like that, i don't think i'm going to like it that much...
