SLK/SLC-Class (R172) Mercedes-Benz SLK R172 (spy shots and info)

The Mercedes-Benz R172 is the third generation SLK-Class (SLC-Class) launched in 2011. It is the successor to the R171. Production: 2011–2020.
I don't believe thats the SLK's interior either. Much too close to the SLS.

I'm right with you...the interior pic of the SLK, while it is nice, doesn't have any real design to it; just an exact copy of the SLS; and I don't think MB would ever do that.

We're talking about the SLK here bruh, not the SL.

SLK = Hard-top convert, 2 seater, offers luxury.
Z4 = Hard-top convert, 2 seater, offers luxury.

:t-hands:

Indeed the thread is about the SLK, BUT, the post I quoted of "Centurion's" on page 1 mentions the SL!! Sorry Bruh :)

Jeez, you went that back to post your comment? C'mon man, we're progressing here and you're going backwards. :D

Sorry for being new here :D

As for the pics of the SLK THAT'S SLK :D I love it!! looks MUCH better than the Z4 :usa7uh:

Here is the interior

PATHETIC

That's a carbon copy of the SLS's interior. it's FUGLY!!!!!!!!!

The Mercedes design studio is losing its mojo. Time for some new blood.

I have a good idea, why not just replace the entire design team with the Audi interior design team.

I believe the head interior designer from Audi was poached by MB. He worked on the final touches of the S and had a big hand in the A, B and C before being poached back by VW group.

Anway, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, the newer Audi interiors aren't all that, particularly the B8 A4.

I think you're right. His name was Romulus Rost if I remember correctly. He made his name with his work on the interior of the original Audi TT.

Seriously, Mercedes needs to spice up their interior designs. The interior of the current E Class looked like it was done by someone in the mid 1990's. It may looked like it was carved from a block of granite, but it sure as hell ain't good looking.

Grafting the SLS's interior into the next SLK will only cheapen the SLS. I knew something bad was going to happen when Gorden Wagoner said the interior of the SLS offered design clues of future Mercedes sportscars.

Now that Mr Bangle has left BMW, should we now turn our focus to Gorden Wagoner to make sure he does no long-term damage to Mercedes Benz?

Yea I mean you guys say you want an Audi interior designer yet Audi is the one that puts the same interior in every car.

I love the newest interiors of MBs. The E is awesome and the C I think will be improved with the face lift.

I'm pretty sure that's a real picture of the SLK interior and I like it, my only fear is cheapening the SLS because of it.

Overall I think MB interiors are great these days especially because they feel SOLID. My only concern is the parts sharing, but everyone is trying to save money somehow.

I really hope it gets its own identity and not all-round (exterior & interior) mini-SLS look. :eusa_pray

I really hope it's a mini SLS!

It probably will be as features from a bigger brother will make it sell. Mercedes are under pressure to make the next gen SLK spectacular as the metal folding roof is no longer a unique selling point.
