whereas it’s €82k for VLE. Top of the line Exclusive V-Class is around €90k, while the similar model is about €110k for the VLE. I’m assuming the Maybach model will be around €150k, perhaps even more.

I am amazed because I thought they were a kind of vehicle option that I always envisioned as more "affordable" than their counterparts sedans or SUVs, vans being in my eyes more of a niche than anything else, I always saw them as something that needs the added value of having a good price to be chosen instead of those.

The GLE is positioned as a Grand Limousine, and they also have the more mundane MPV segment.

If you want something like it for space, they have a 45k Vito too.

Approximately one month after its world premiere, the brand-new electric Mercedes-Benz VLE is now available to order. At launch, Mercedes-Benz is initially offering two high-end configurations:
The VLE 300 electric is available with either the Advanced Plus Package, including rear-axle steering, the EASY-PACK tailgate with separately opening rear window, and other features, or as the EXCLUSIVE version with the Premium Plus Package , which additionally includes a head-up display, the MBUX Superscreen, and DIGITAL LIGHT. Both variants include additional features such as AIRMATIC air suspension and the Sky View panoramic roof. The VLE 300 is offered with five seats starting at €82,260 and as a six-seater starting at €82,712.

Throughout the year, the portfolio will be gradually expanded with additional models (such as the VLE 400 4matic) as well as attractive additional equipment options and lines. From September, the base model will also be available, reducing the starting price for the VLE 300 to €70,464. In 2027, the 80 kWh LFP battery will be available in the VLE 250, with prices starting at €64,804.


Range of up to more than 700 kilometers – rechargeable for up to 355 kilometers in just 15 minutes

The VLE models offered at market launch boast a motor output of 203 kW/276 hp and impressive ranges: up to 713 kilometers (WLTP) are possible with the VLE 300 electric model, for example, equipped with standard features and the Advanced Plus package. The VLE measures 5,309 millimeters in length, 1,999 millimeters in width, and 1,951 millimeters in height (standard length) and is equipped with front-wheel drive and a lithium-ion battery with a usable energy content of 115 kWh. Thanks to a state-of-the-art 800-volt electrical architecture, up to 355 kilometers of range (WLTP) can be added in just 15 minutes. This allows the electric VLE to comfortably cover long distances of around 1,000 kilometers with just a short charging stop. Fast DC charging is possible at 800-volt charging stations with a charging capacity of up to 300 kW. With an optional DC converter, the VLE can also utilize a 400-volt fast-charging DC infrastructure.

Flexible seating: manual roll & go or remote-controlled "seating ballet"
The new Roll & Go concept allows for convenient movement of the manually adjustable seats. Customers can easily slide the seats and benches forward and backward and lock them in any position. They can also be removed from any position. This allows customers to quickly and easily create a cargo space tailored to their specific needs. Thanks to their four integrated casters, the removed seats can be effortlessly rolled into the garage.

Particularly convenient and unique in this segment is the ability to remotely adjust the rear seat configuration. Using MB.OS, all electrically adjustable individual seats and benches can be conveniently positioned via the infotainment system, the seat switches in the side wall panels, or the Mercedes-Benz app. The "Variable Rear" function thus sets new standards in intelligent space utilization and offers four predefined configurations:

“Luggage”: This mode moves all seats as far forward as possible to maximize cargo space – ideal for large shopping trips or large sports equipment.
“Executive”: Moves the seats as far back as possible to increase legroom in the first rear row – perfect for VIP shuttles.
“Passengers & Luggage”: A balanced configuration that offers ample storage space and comfortable legroom in both rear rows of seats.
“Standard”: This mode moves all seats back to their standard position.
Even greater diversity in the future
Throughout the year, the VLE portfolio will be gradually expanded with additional models, equipment packages, and options. These include the VLE 400 4MATIC all-wheel-drive model with a 115 kWh battery, the AMG Line, AMG Line Plus, and two additional equipment packages (Advanced Package and Premium Package). All variants will be available with five, six, seven, or eight seats. With the availability of the five-seat VLE 300 with standard equipment, the starting price will be €70,464, while the six-seat VLE 300 with standard equipment will start at €70,916.

Countless customization options: from standard equipment to EXCLUSIVE
A wide range of packages and optional extras allows customers to tailor the VLE's interior and exterior to their individual preferences and lifestyle. The spectrum ranges from standard equipment, AMG Line, AMG Line Plus, and EXCLUSIVE to four optional equipment packages (Advanced, Advanced Plus, Premium, Premium Plus) and a multitude of individual options. These include, for example, the Night Package and a large selection of 19- to 22-inch light-alloy wheels and trim elements. From 2027: VLE long version and 80 kWh battery
In 2027, a version of the VLE that is almost 18 cm longer will be offered, bringing even more interior comfort.

Additionally, the VLE, equipped with an 80 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, completes the portfolio and thus offers an even more attractive entry-level price – with a choice between front-wheel drive or 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The VLE 250 with front-wheel drive (range approx. 490 km) as a five-seater with standard equipment starts at €64,804, and as a six-seater at €65,261.
