I think we should see a standard version with 315 hp, and then a big version with 350 hp.

That's my sentiments exactly. The competition is WAY ahead with their engines and yet MB is still running around with their 350 series. I think the new engine should've debuted in the new E-class.

If Current SLK was a smaller SLR, than the natural progressions is the new SLK to look like a mini SLS.

Well so far MB has dissappointed me but with the spy-shots we've seen of this SLK, it really doesn't seem like it's going in the right direction.
