There are some wealthy chaps in Jo'burg... I see a different SLS at least once every two weeks. Frakkin awesome looking piece of machinery. Having also seen the SLR on a number of occasions I can easily say that the SLS looks more purposeful, more interesting and, overall, more the business.

I saw a pearlescent white SLS on my way to BMW Plant Rosslyn, the driver was an elderly male...the ultimate car for young execs and retired male's alike:bowdown:

Exactly the opposite for me.

I've just seen the SLS last sunday... is so nice, but I still prefere the SLR

That is kind of how I feel. The SLR was so exciting and completely different from the normal supercars. Very exotic and didn't look like your average Benz. The SLS is still very exclusive. Of course if the SL and SLK adopt the same styling...things might get a little iffy. The design is beautiful on the SLS, but it still does thrill me the way the SLR did. Still wouldn't mine owning them both.

I was shocked more to see a SLR on the raod then an SLS. I saw just one SLJ on the strees and the SLS very often. SLR=The Special one and SLS = probably the better sportscar .

:t-cheers:

The design of the SLR has aged well, and it has grown on me over the years. I think I will pick the SLR for now, it is the more interesting and original design of the two. I can't quite get over the abrupt end of the side window of the SLS.

Seeing them side by side was a tough choice. I gotta say the SLS is more my speed. Cleaner, classic, timeless. SLR also had a fancier interior, but one you would tire of faster, and the SLS incorporates M-B's current theme of strength and slightly higher/more durable quality materials IMO (crappy/cheap head unit aside).
